Good intentions rarely impact your marriage.

“I meant to schedule that date night.”

“I meant to pray with my wife.”

“I meant to say tell my husband I appreciate him.”

“I meant to….”

The problem is, meaning to isn’t doing.

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

Changes in your marriage don’t happen because you make plans to change.. they happen when you actually do change.

So how about you pick one thing you keep saying you’re going to do and go ahead and do it today?

Will you make one investment in your marriage today? Say YES!

But here’s what we don’t do…

We don’t judge.
We don’t choose sides.
We don’t sit there & let you argue.
We don’t hold back from speaking truth.

And, we don’t stop having hope for your marriage!

We hope you never do either!

He’s right!

You don’t have to live tomorrow today.

Jesus said, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

There’s a difference between preparing for tomorrow and carrying tomorrow.

When we worry, we’re trying to be in control and make sure everything turns out ok.

That’s not our job, that’s God’s.

Jesus never promised tomorrow wouldn’t have trouble. In fact, He acknowledged that it might.

But just before this verse, He reminds us that our heavenly Father already knows what we need.

So the reality is that you don’t need tomorrow’s answers today.

And you don’t need to experience tomorrow’s trouble twice…once in your worry and again IF it actually comes.

God has given you grace for this day and if you need it tomorrow He will have it there for you.

So when your mind starts running ahead, bring it back to today.

And if your husband is better about not worrying, follow his lead and ask that man to pray for you!

Wives sometimes translate their husband knowing what’s wrong with them as proof that they care.

Therefore, when they don’t, it means they don’t care.

Wives, it’s on us to communicate and stop assigning meaning to our husband’s reactions to us.

Husbands, it’s on you to lean in with understanding that something else might be going on and get curious about it,

Not knowing doesn’t = not caring
Being upset doesn’t = being wrong or foolish

Be willing to learn what’s really going on and address the real issue.

Christ-centered marriages deal with root issues ❤️

We’ve been reading a lot lately about giving God glory with our lives, and personally, we think having a joy filled marriage is a great way to do that.

Yes, there are plenty of ways to glorify the Lord with your marriage, but no one says fun and joy can’t be one of them!

So no, I’m never bored with this guy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Live joyfully today!

I never get more texts than I do when I send him to the store.

Marriage will change you…

And that’s kind of the point!

The only one who is unchanging is God.

On this episode we let you see BTS in our own marriage as we ask each other personal questions about change. (We provide you with the same questions too)

And we have a discussion about the way marriage reveals things in us and what we’re supposed to do as it does.

This conversation is encouraging and hard, but it’s also purposeful.

𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦?

God is a finisher who brings all things to completion.

That gives us so much hope, doesn’t it?

What seems to steal it away is the doubt that comes while waiting on HIS timeline.

That’s the hard part, and yet it still doesn’t negate the truth that He will indeed finish what He starts.

If you’re in a season of healing in your marriage, and it seems like it is taking forever to get to the other side, will you cling to this truth today?

Trust that He is working, perfecting, and taking you through every single step with a purpose.

One step in front of the other and His timing and completion will prevail.

Are you grateful God finishes what He starts? Say AMEN!
