Redeemer parents: just a reminder that Kids Community is not gathering this Sunday, September 27! All first- through fifth-graders will stay in the room with us for our entire service. We will have kids' liturgy booklets (with clipboards and writing utensils) for any child who would like to follow along with the service and take their own notes (or draw).

See today's email for more details about Kids Community, including the rhythms of Sunday kids gatherings.

On Friday at 7pm, we will gather at Socrates for a Tenebrae service, in which we hear and meditate on the seven last words of Christ before his death. The service begins with seven lit candles, and as each word is read, one candle is extinguished, until we join with creation in the darkness of the deepest fracturing humanity has ever known.

We hope you'll join us!

It's Maundy Thursday! Today, we remember the night when Jesus shared his last meal with his disciples, washed their feet, prayed over them, and gave them a new commandment: "As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

We'll gather this evening at Lake Pointe Hall for our Maundy Thursday dinner—details on Church Center!

Sunday is the start of Holy Week, and you are invited to join us for Holy Week services at Redeemer! We will continue in our Fractured series, looking at the Liturgy of the Passion and beginning to walk with Jesus through his last week before the crucifixion.

See you Sunday!

In discovering the wholeness God wants for us, we become more aware of the way things currently are—disintegrated, fragmented, broken, fractured. Lent offers us an opportunity to face these realities, to witness Jesus live in wholeness while living in the broken world, and to follow him to receive the same wholeness. This series follows the Revised Common Lectionary, taking a closer look at some of the people who encountered Jesus in John's gospel, and how he invited them to release their fracturedness and receive his wholeness.

Join us on Sundays at 10am, and listen to the Redeemer Church podcast!
