It’s incredible to witness what has unfolded over the last several days in the wake of Hurricane Helena’s devastating floods. Churches have fully mobilized, purchasing supplies, donating time and resources, and raising millions of dollars in just a matter of days. Many have sacrificed what they have to reach their neighbors who have suffered through this tragedy. I’ve seen people work to the point of exhaustion in order to save lives and deliver aid. They’ve traveled to hard to reach places, up highways, rough roads, and even forging new trails just to meet the overwhelming needs of those affected.

Now, imagine if we, as churches, maintained this same drive, passion, and mindset not just to provide aid, but to share the Gospel with the world. The early church spread the Gospel across the known world in less than 30 years because they had the burden to do it. It’s clear that we, as churches today, have the heart, mind, resources, and ability to respond swiftly in times of crisis. Now Let’s maintain that same drive to take the Gospel to every corner of the world in our generation.
