Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for Your Word this morning.
Thank You that Your Word is alive. Thank You that Your Word is active. Thank You that Your Word reaches places in us that we cannot always explain. Thank You that You love us enough to correct us, teach us, train us, and call us higher.
Lord, forgive us for the times we rejected conviction because it made us uncomfortable. Forgive us for the times we called it shame when You were actually inviting us into freedom. Forgive us for wanting encouragement but resisting correction. Forgive us for seeing Your discipline as rejection instead of love.
This morning, we pray the prayer of Psalm 139. Search us, O God. Know our hearts. Try us and know our thoughts. See if there is any grievous way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting.
Lord, show us what needs to change. Show us what needs to be surrendered. Show us where our motives are not pure. Show us where our hearts have become hard. Show us where we have been making excuses. And when You show us, give us grace to repent and strength to obey.
We declare that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We reject the voice of shame. We reject the lie that we are hopeless. We reject the fear that correction means You have left us.
We receive Your conviction as love. We receive Your Word as truth. We receive Your correction as training. And we receive Your mercy as the invitation to come closer.
Make us women who do not just hear the Word, but obey it. Make us women who are humble enough to be corrected. Make us women who are strong enough to repent. Make us women who are free enough to walk in truth.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Have a blessed day, women of God. Walk in the Word today. Let conviction bring you closer, not drive you into hiding. God is not condemning you. He is calling you higher.
