"For God, All Things Are Possible"

One of the most powerful phrases in the entire Gospel comes from today's readings. As the disciples are confronted with fear about the difficulty of the journey to Heaven, Jesus admonishes them that "with God, all things are possible." Y'all, there's power in those words. But, do we really believe this? It can be hard! It can be really hard sometimes. Miracles can seem few and far between in our world of doubt, particularly with all the disappointments we faced thanks to Covid. But that's where the trust comes in. It takes trust to look at the pierced heart of Christ Crucified and say, "Jesus, I trust in You." Like the Litany of Trust says, sometimes all we can do is pray, "Jesus, I trust You will teach me to trust You." I can speak from personal experience. Time and again, something seems impossible, and yet, God makes it work out. Even this past summer with Totus Tuus, there were so many times when it seemed impossible that this would all work out. But praise God, probably the best summer of my life happened. So I want to invite you, reader. Trust in God, especially when it's hard. If that trust doesn't come easy, trust that He will teach you to trust. He hasn't failed a single one of His children. Why would He start now?
