Dear Fourth Day:

Prayers are needed for Lorraine Markwardt. I'm attaching (with her permission) the email she sent me.

Prayer Warriors,
I ask for your prayers as I begin a new journey in my life. I have been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and will start a 4–6 month chemotherapy / immunotherapy regimen next week. Please pray for strength, peace, and healing. Please also pray for my doctors, nurses, and caretakers (especially Kimbal), that God will guide their hands, give them wisdom, and surround them with compassion and discernment as they help me through this journey. Thank you for standing with me in faith and prayer. Your support means more than words can say.

Greetings in Christ! As we approach Via de Cristo Weekend 112, we are filled with anticipation for what God will do in the lives of all those who will participate. This life-changing weekend is a powerful experience of faith, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

We need your help to make this weekend possible. As the Rector for this retreat, I am reaching out to ask for your support in sponsoring participants for Weekend 112. The deadline is tomorrow, Monday, March 10th at midnight.

An update on the sisters that was in the accident on Sunday.

Marilyn has been released and is staying with a friend for help.

Margaret had surgery on her collarbone and both arms. She has been released to a rehab center. Cards and visitors are welcome. Mail cards to:

Prayer requests.

Sisters Marilyn Potter and Margaret Thompson were involved in a very serious car accident Sunday on their way to church. Marilyn has several broken ribs and a broken sternum. Margaret has several broken ribs, broken sternum, broken clavicle, and both of her wrists/arms were broken. Margaret has surgery scheduled for 1 pm. As of right now both sisters are still in the hospital. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
