The third decade of CEDE SPORTS has brought continued global expansion. To meet partners' needs worldwide, CEDE SPORTS implemented a multi-continent team strategy to support churches and chaplains.

CEDE SPORTS is expanding across Africa. Africa Continent Coordinator Arrie Hougaard leads the effort across the continent. Ephraim Kebede was made the first CEDE SPORTS regional coordinator earlier in the year, covering East Africa.

The third decade of CEDE SPORTS has brought continued global expansion. To meet partners' needs worldwide, CEDE SPORTS implemented a multi-continent team strategy to support churches and chaplains.

Sandra and Will Cravens are the co-continent coordinators for Latin America. In Argentina, Julio Bautista serves as the country coordinator, while two coordinators are in training.

Taking a look back at 30 years of CEDE SPORTS 👀

The third decade of CEDE SPORTS has brought continued global expansion. To meet partners' needs worldwide, CEDE SPORTS implemented a multi-continent team strategy to support churches and chaplains.

The church's team has eight regional coordinators who operate across the United States and Canada, coaching, connecting and resourcing local churches' sports, rec and fitness leaders. The church's team members are:

- Ken Cross - Regional Coordinator (Alabama, Georgia, Florida)
- Jeff Fox - Regional Coordinator (North Carolina and South Carolina)
- Scott Tyson - Charlotte Metro Coordinator (not pictured)
- Don Weyrick - Regional Coordinator (Hawaii, California)
- M.L. Woodruff - Regional Coordinator (Louisiana, Texas)
- Jennifer Young - Regional Coordinator (Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan)
- Bob Dyar - Regional Coordinator (Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia)
- Bob Schindler - Regional Coordinator (Kentucky, Tennessee, Canada)

Taking a look back at 30 years of CEDE SPORTS 👀

The third decade of CEDE SPORTS has brought continued global expansion. To meet the needs of our partners around the globe, CEDE SPORTS implemented a multi-continent team strategy to support churches and chaplains.

The CEDE SPORTS Chaplains team is made up of chaplains for high school teams, primarily in the Charlotte area, and for other NASCAR race teams. CEDE SPORTS Founder and CEO Bob Dyar oversees the Joe Gibbs Racing ministry as chaplain emeritus, which has five full and part-time chaplains. The JGR chaplains team consists of:

- Hudson Belk - Lead Chaplain
- Ken Cross - Senior Chaplain
- Jon Wehner - Senior Chaplain
- Tom Henry - Chaplain
- Gio Llerena - Marriage Ministry

The third decade of CEDE SPORTS has brought continued global expansion. To meet partners' needs worldwide, CEDE SPORTS implemented a multi-continent team strategy to support churches and chaplains.

CEDE SPORTS Founder and CEO Bob Dyar and President Bob Schindler are co-continent coordinators for North America. Our North America team is split into two subgroups: a chaplains team and a churches team. Dyar focuses on the NA chaplains team, while Schindler oversees our NA churches team.

Taking a look back at 30 years of CEDE SPORTS 👀

By 2026, REACHgathering marked its 12th year as a national gathering of local church sports, rec and fitness leaders.

In 2014, CEDE SPORTS helped start REACH and has played an instrumental part in the gathering ever since, including serving as one of the Foundational Partners that led REACH.

REACH is a multi-day gathering with main sessions, practical breakouts, meaningful conversations and recreational activities.

At REACH this past March, the CEDE SPORTS Church Coach Team presented on Gospel-centered culture, God’s design for sports ministry and helping people experience Jesus through sports, recreation and fitness.

CEDE SPORTS hosted the Gospel-Centered Culture that Leads to Ministry Breakthrough webinar on Thursday, Aug. 13, featuring Javier Sola, sports pastor of Discovery Church in Orlando, Fla., who discussed developing a Gospel-centered culture within your ministry.
