Join us for worship this Sunday, May 17 as we begin our new five-sermon series on what it means to take up your cross and follow Jesus.

This week we will look at "The Call to Cross Carrying" in Luke 9:23-25. Hope to see you for Sunday School at 10:00 AM and then worship at 11:00 AM!

"And he said to all, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'" Luke 9:23 (ESV)

Yesterday, we were thankful for a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration shared together in fellowship and gratitude for the women who shape our families, church, and community with faith and love. Our Mother’s Day Tea during the Sunday School hour was a special time of laughter, conversation, and encouragement, prepared by Keith Rhyne of The Sharpe House and sponsored by our Board of Christian Education. “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28

I wanted to share with you our choir's anthem from this morning's service. It was a beautiful rendition of "Be Thou My Vision." This hymn speaks profoundly to our world today about where our hope and courage lies. Not in this world but in Christ alone. Take a moment to listen on this Mother's Day. Have your heart encouraged by one of the beautiful hymns of old.

Thank you First ARP Choir, Leslie, Amanda, and Helen (guest harpist) for our anthem today.

-Pastor Ryan

To mark America 250, Christian leaders from across the country are coming together at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, to read the entire Bible aloud this week. Dr. Steve Adamson, president of Erskine College and Theological Seminary, is part of this historic event and will read this afternoon from 2-3pm.

He is risen! He is risen indeed! What a glorious Easter day as we gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the center of our hope and joy! Our morning began at sunrise, proclaiming the good news as light broke through the darkness, followed by the triumphant sounds of Five 'til Five Brass Quintet and the beauty of worship together. We shared a delicious breakfast filled with laughter and fellowship, spent time growing in faith during Sunday School, and rejoiced in worship as our newly renovated and expanded pipe organ led us in powerful praise for the very first time. One of the sweetest moments of the day was watching our children fill the sanctuary with excitement and joy during the Easter egg hunt, a beautiful reminder of new life and celebration in the house of the Lord. Above all, we rejoice in the truth of Matthew 28:6, “He is not here, for He has risen, as He said,” and John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life,” because Christ is alive, and because He lives, we have hope today and forever!

Easter Sunday – The Resurrection

Matthew 28:6

Victory & new life

“He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.”

The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated.
What was finished on the cross is now fulfilled in glory, Christ is risen!

Rejoice and reflect on where you see new life and resurrection hope in your life today? How can you live as an “Easter person”, sharing the life changing love of our risen savior?
