Anthology.Church We are a brand new church in Charles Town, WV!
10 AM @ Charles Town Middle! We are a new church launching weekly services in September of 2025!

At Anthology Church, we will be a collection of people that openly share their stories of ups and downs as we pursue Jesus to find the hope in that ‘there is more to the story’. As Charles Town continues to grow and new people move into the city and surrounding area, we hope to be a church that becomes a safe place for people to hear and experience Jesus, find community, and build relationships built on Jesus. We are a church to help people realize there is more to their story!

☀️ Summer is better together. One of the things we love most about Anthology is that community doesn't just happen on Sundays.

This summer we've got all kinds of opportunities to hang out, meet new people, try something new, and spend time together—from game nights and crafting to disc golf, knife making, women's gatherings, and more.

You don't have to know everyone.
You don't have to have it all together.
Just come hang out with us!

Check out the schedule, invite a friend, and join us for a summer filled with laughter, conversations, and doing life together. 👉 There's a place for you here, sign up and let us know you're coming!: https://anthology.churchcenter.com/registrations/events

This weekend in Mark 6, we talked about the heavy things we carry 🏋️‍♂️ — the exhaustion, the pressure, the feeling that we have to hold everything together on our own. And in the middle of all of it, we celebrated two baptisms together. What a reminder that Jesus is still meeting people right where they are and calling them into new life.

Sometimes when we are tired enough, our minds start believing lies:
“If I stop, everything falls apart.”
“If I rest, I’m failing.”
“I have nothing left to give.”

But those lies pull us away from the truth of Jesus.
Jesus doesn’t meet us with shame or more pressure.
He meets us with compassion.
He teaches us how to live like people who are loved, limited, and not alone.
What a gift it is to walk through life together.

Sometimes the reaction isn’t the root issue. Sometimes it’s what’s been running on empty underneath it.

Empty doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like exhaustion, bitterness, isolation, hurt, or carrying too much for too long.

And yes — sometimes what spills out of us needs repentance, repair, and apology.

But maybe before shame rushes in, it’s worth asking: What is my soul running low on?

Because sometimes you are not evil.
You are empty.

There’s nothing quite like celebrating baptisms together as a church family 💧

This Mother’s Day, we had the joy of watching two people take a bold next step in their faith. What a reminder that God is still moving, still restoring, and still writing new stories.

So thankful for this community. 🤍

What’s better than summer? Summer together ☀️
Have an idea for a hangout, activity, or something you love doing that could bring people together? This is your chance to help build community and create spaces for people to connect, make friends, and have fun this summer.
We’re putting together a calendar of summer gatherings — and we’d love your ideas.

The only catch? If you submit it, we need you to plan it and lead it!
Whether it’s hiking, coffee meetups, game nights, pickleball, bonfires, creative nights, or something completely different — this is your time to shine. Submit your idea here and let's do something awesome together this summer: https://anthology.churchcenter.com/people/forms/1205131
