Why was the Arizona Coalition of Women Preachers (ACOWP) started?

ACOWP was founded to empower, support, and unite women called to preach and serve in ministry. Historically, women in ministry have often faced isolation, limited opportunities, and a lack of recognition for their gifts. ACOWP was created to change that narrative in Arizona and beyond.

Our founders recognized a need for:
✅ A safe, welcoming space for women in ministry to connect and grow
✅ Opportunities for training, mentorship, and leadership development
✅ A strong network to amplify women’s voices in the faith community
✅ Shared resources to help ministries flourish
✅ Solidarity across denominations and traditions

At its heart, ACOWP exists to break barriers, build community, and help women preachers walk confidently in their calling—together.
