Fields of Faith was a lot of fun … a night of music, testimony from a few area high school students, and guest speaker Brian Hansen, who was a punter in the NFL. Thank you to Pastor Elan for providing pizza and drinks, and to Centerville School for allowing us to use a bus … we appreciate it very much! Thanks to all the kids who attended … you are a great group!

Reminder - Fields of Faith next Wednesday, the 25th! Supper at church starting at 5:30, bus will leave at 6:15 for Alcester. There will be a sign up sheet outside Mr. Muller’s classroom … please sign up by Monday, Sept 23rd so we have a count for food and transportation. Friends and parents welcome - please sign up so we have an accurate count. Thank you!

Mark your calendars! Youth group will meet on Wednesday, Sept 25th to attend Fields of Faith in Alcester. Transportation will be provided (leaving at 6:15), and we will have supper at the church beforehand. More details to follow … as it gets closer, we will ask for a head count to make sure we have enough seats and food. Friends & parents always welcome!

Our youth group prepared 45 Easter baskets this week to share with CCRC residents. We had over 30 kids preparing baskets on Wednesday, and 11 kids delivered baskets to CCRC this morning. Baskets included puzzle books, pens/pencils, stationary, chap stick, kleenex, and lots of snacks and Easter treats. We all enjoyed our visit to CCRC this morning, and it was a great experience for everyone involved.

We have lots of people we would like to thank for all their help with this project. Thank you first of all to Courtney Blake, who donated many of the baskets and applied for Thrivent grants to fund the project. Thank you to Janna Mark for helping with the basket building on Wednesday, and to Andrea Anderson and Maren Fischer for helping deliver baskets this morning. Thank you to Kristen Birgen for her help with setting this up and delivering baskets this morning. And finally, we also had a Scandia parishioner donate items, so thank you to this person and to Pastor Elan for shopping for items as well. We truly appreciate everyone’s help!
