Step back in time this Memorial Day Weekend at historic Virginia’s Chapel.

We invite the community to visit and experience this treasured piece of local history during our Memorial Day Weekend Open House. Guests are welcome to walk the grounds, tour the chapel, and enjoy the sound of the historic pump organ being played at select times throughout the day.

📍Open House Hours:
Saturday, May 23 — 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Sunday, May 24 — 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Built in 1853 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Virginia’s Chapel continues to serve as a place of history, reflection, and community.

For more than 170 years, Virginia’s Chapel has stood as a place of faith, history, remembrance, and community. Today, we are honored to continue preserving this beautiful historic chapel while opening its doors for weddings, photography sessions, memorial services, and other meaningful gatherings.

💍 Wedding Ceremonies - $250
($50 refunded if chapel is left in condition found)

📸 Use of Chapel for Inside Photography Sessions - $50 per hour

🕊️Memorial services, private events, and other gatherings are also available. Please contact us for additional details.

“Oh, the dearest spot on this earth to me is the church of my childhood days!”

Did you know? 🎶⛪️ In 1948, M. Homer Cummings (pastor at Glasgow Methodist at the time) wrote a hymn about Virginia’s Chapel titled “The Old Brick Church” that is sung at the end of every special service held at the chapel.
