First Baptist Castroville

First Baptist Castroville First Castroville is a community of people who are committed to following faithfully after God. Life gets pretty complicated.

Each week we join together as the body of Christ to worship God and to experience a message that is relevant to our lives which comes from the truths of the Bible. We know you want to get it right- that's why we have saved a place for you here. We believe being part of a community of believers will help you develop a practical faith that not only makes life better but makes you better at life. Our

worship service times are 9:00 am and 10:30 am, but we encourage you to come early to get connected to our community. In addition to our regular Worship Service, we have a Children’s Church specially fashioned for children, kinder-5th grade. Children’s Church is a meaningful worship service packed with bible stories, crafts, and fun ways to explore God’s Word. Childcare is provided for children up to pre-kindergarten during the Worship service.

David discovered something remarkable in the wilderness: God's steadfast love is better than life itself. This wasn't just theological knowledge—it was experiential reality born from genuine encounter. When we taste and see that the Lord is good, everything else pales in comparison. The temporary pleasures and distractions that once seemed so appealing lose their grip on our hearts. Jesus extends this same invitation to us, declaring Himself the bread of life and offering living water to all who are thirsty. He doesn't merely help with our spiritual thirst—He is the only true satisfaction for our souls. This truth transforms how we approach our daily rhythms. Instead of constantly seeking the next thing to fill the void, we can return again and again to the one source that never runs dry. Real worship emerges not from perfect circumstances but from recognizing that in God's presence, we find everything our hearts have been searching for.

Imagine trying to charge your phone without plugging it into a power source. No matter how much you want it to work, it simply won't function without that vital connection. Jesus used a similar illustration when He said, "I am the vine, you are the branches." Just as branches can't produce fruit without being connected to the vine, we can't experience true spiritual growth without staying connected to Jesus. This isn't about working harder or trying to manufacture spiritual fruit through willpower. It's about maintaining that life-giving connection through prayer, reading God's Word, and walking in obedience to His leading. When we're truly connected to Christ, transformation happens naturally. The fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control - flows from our relationship with Him, not from our efforts to be perfect. Stay plugged in, and watch God work.

The heart of a church isn't found in the height of its steeple or the comfort of its chairs—it’s found in the the depth of its compassion for the world outside. When we step out to serve, we bridge the gap between faith and action. We show our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and loved—not just through words, but through tangible support.

Join Us for Community Impact Day! It’s time to roll up our sleeves and make a difference together. We are hosting a Community Impact Day, and we need your hands, your smiles, and your heart for service.
