“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of rules about food and drink, but is in the realm of the Holy Spirit, filled with righteousness, peace, and joy. Serving the Anointed One by walking in these kingdom realities pleases God and earns the respect of others. So then, make it your top priority to live a life of peace with harmony in your relationships, eagerly seeking to strengthen and encourage one another.”
Romans 14:17-19
These words are challenging me this morning... am I really filled with righteousness, peace and joy? If I were - the tempting thoughts that come to lead me astray in my mind would have no effect. There would be no entrance, because I'm filled with Kingdom mindedness. Taking a piece of Carson City is not where the real fight is, it is here in the battle ground of my mind. The enemy has made it clear he does not want us there. So he creates vain imaginations in our minds to bait us. Will we take the bait? Will we allow even the actions of our dearest, most beloved brothers and sister to derail us from hope? I'm challenged every day to be hopeless about our future. Let us expose the works of darkness and bring them to the light. I for one pray we are strengthened today! I pray your heart beats with new courage to overcome every obstacle. I declare we are MORE than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. Ponder for a moment, is there anything Christ sets out to do that He doesn't complete? Perfectly? Picture, what would it look like to receive strength from Christ. One way would be to embrace truth and reject every lie. Take my hand and let's break out together and conquer ever fear and doubt. Carson City here we come! Full of righteousness, peace and joy!
