“When your plans crumble, trust Him—His higher way carries peace your expectations never could.”
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
JOHN 11:43 KJV
PRAYER
Thank You God that the story of Lazarus serves as a reminder that death has no power over my soul. Through the life of Jesus, continually displays for me the fact that he can conquer anything including the Goliath of death. Therefore, I will not be afraid to live my life to the fullest, because I know that I will not die but I will simply transition to my heavenly home when my time comes. I declare that I will not live with regret or remorse but instead I will maximize every opportunity that I'm given, I will love with an intense and compassionate heart and I will live out the purpose and plans that You have for me Lord. In the same way, Jesus, that You called forth Lazarus from the tomb, I now call forth from the tombs in my life the dreams and visions that have died because of fear and doubt! I thank You Lord that as I place them in Your hands You will breathe new life and new strategy into every dream and vision You’ve given me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
BIBLE IN A YEAR: THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY
Have you ever prayed with a clear picture of how things should turn out, only to watch it unfold in a totally different way? Disappointment can sting, especially when you thought God was about to fix it fast and in the way you imagined. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowd shouted “hosanna” and welcomed Him like a king (John 12:13). Yet He chose a donkey, fulfilling the quiet promise of Zechariah 9:9, because His mission was not to grab a throne but to carry a cross. No wonder His ways can feel confusing. As Isaiah 55:8 reminds us, His thoughts are higher than ours. If your expectations have been overturned, you are not alone. Jesus is still near, still good, and still faithful even when the path looks different than you hoped. Today, you can offer Him your trust and your best, like Mary did, and let Him reshape your heart with His steady peace.
