Please pray for the repose of the soul of
Teresa Schmidt Blaine
April 19, 1950 ~ September 10, 2026

Teresa and her husband Barry (October 10, 1952 ~ July 5, 2016) were active members at Sacred Heart in years past.

I know many of you will remember Teresa and ask that you pray for her and her family at this time of their loss.

Her visitation is at Breeland Funeral Home Sunday September 13th from 2pm till 4pm.

Her funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Monday September 14th at 10am.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Tomorrow Saturday Aug 29th Funeral

Hello all. We have a funeral mass for Tom Schwab tomorrow at Sacred Heart at 11am. Visitation at 10am in the church.

Tom and his wife Edna and their 2 boys were at Sacred Heart years ago. Edna was very involved in the wonderful socials we had back in the day. For years now they've lived in Gluckstadt and St. Joe is their home church. Those of you who have been around 25 plus years would remember Edna & Tom.

This happened a little fast so I wanted to let folks know about this. Please pray for the family. Fr. Matthew Simmons will preside over the funeral. Tom was a Marine and military honors will be at the beginning of the service.

Rest in Peace Tom and peace be with you all.

Celebrate the life of Thomas Schaab Sr. and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Schools back!

Thanks to all who showed up for our Ice Cream / Pizza / Blessing of Back Packs social tonight! Thanks Father Mario for blessing our kids for the new year!!

A great time was had. THANKS Social Committee for all your work. The goal is to build community.

I for one, had a great conversation with someone I see at church often but rarely have a chance to talk to. I saw a couple of other people having similar (getting to know more about you) conversations. That's the goal!

Peace be with you! And Peace Be with all our kids and parents during this new school year!!!

In the Catholic Church, including the Diocese of Jackson Mississippi and here at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Canton, the entire month of August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This month, let us encourage each other to focus on prayer, the Rosary, and imitating Mary's virtues and love for Jesus Christ.

Peace Be With You

Many thanks to our Parish family, that donated YARN to the Knitting Club at the Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, MS. The lady inmates were able to make 30 blankets which will be donated to the Blair Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson. Without your support and generosity, this project would not have succeeded!
