In early 1995, the leadership team at Whitehall Church of the Nazarene in Whitehall, Ohio sensed God’s call to plant a sister church. As the vision was cast and as church members began to pray for God’s direction, it came time for many to make decisions. On January 21, 1996, many Whitehall members followed the leading of the Holy Spirit. Together, they committed to be founding members of Dayspring Nazarene Ministries, now known as Dayspring Community Church (DCC). For more than two years, DCC met in various temporary facilities (including the Canine Dog Kennel in Groveport!) before our current facility was first opened on November 8, 1998. Since that time, Dayspring has been blessed to build a stronger community where people love God and love others. Our Christian Childcare Center opened in 1997 to serve the needs of a working community. In 2001 Dayspring opened a Food Pantry which served a handful of people. The Pantry routinely serves hundreds of people a month and close to 4,000 people each year. We continue to partner with people and organizations in our community who share our desire to see the community transformed. You’ll see YMCA soccer on our fields, Jr. NBA basketball on the courts inside the church, and our own Kiddie Closet consignment sale for children four times a year. Today, God has instilled in us a new mission – to bring God’s Kingdom into our homes and communities. We’re hard at work helping people become more like Christ as well as sending them into their communities to bring the life changing message of the Gospel to all people. We share this with you not because we want a pat on the back but because God is good and we’d love for you to get involved!

JUST OVER A WEEK UNTIL OUR FIRST MAKER'S MARKET!

PLEASE JOIN US!

We have over 20 Vendors and there’s a good variety — a little bit for everyone (Paintings, Homemade Breads, Candies/Cookies, Seasonal Crafts, Natural Body & Home Care Products, plus so much more)!

We will also have onsite concessions offering Chili, Potato Soup, hot Ham Sandwiches, Chips, Ice Cream Floats, Canned Soda and Bottled Water.

100% of vendor booth rental fees goes to support our Compassionate Ministries at Dayspring- thank you vendors for supporting our outreach and community programs!

Today was a special day! Our “Serve Sunday” was a huge success!! After service this morning, we ate lunch together and then split up into teams to— serve! We packed 120 Crisis Care Kits- we made 14 fleece blankets to donate to a local hospital- and then we also helped do a special project for a foster family ❤️ Thank you to everyone who served and for being “the Church” today!!

Our hearts are filled with gratitude tonight- this is what a team that served over 100 people in the heat today looks like. From bounce houses, to fun old school games, to balloon animals and a visit from our friends at the Columbus Police department- today was an epic day! Thank you for everyone who served, donated and enjoyed bringing your families to enjoy the day. We have opted to not show pictures of our families because we believe in keeping our kiddos safe. From all of us here at Dayspring Community- thank you!
