Our 4th and 5th grade class discussed how we can trust Gods plans, even when difficult things happen to us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take”

Trust that God is with you, even in the silence, even when things feel very wrong, God is still with you.

This past Sunday we learned that God is in charge and keeps his promises, sometimes He tells us to wait, and that He protects us when we are afraid.

God kept his promise to keep Noah and his family safe on the ark, and when the floodwaters went down, God put a rainbow in the sky, promising to never again destroy the earth with a flood.

Sometimes God tells us to wait, just like how Abraham and Sarah had to wait sooooooo long for their son Isaac to be born.

When we’re afraid, God holds us close. He keeps us safe and comforts us, strengthens us, and carries us through. Even when things seem very wrong, God is sovereign, He is in control and He is good.

On Sunday, we talked about two people who were trusting in God.
Noah and his family trusted that God would keep them safe in the ark while the rain and flood waters came, and Abram trusted in God through obedience by moving to a new land, even though it may have been scary and new.

Who do you identify with this week?

Are you like Noah, experiencing a storm in your life that God is protecting you through?
