The central column of the Kabbalah is the hidden axis, the channel through which balanced light ascends.
It is the path leading us back to the place where the soul remembers itself.
Yet this pillar cannot arise without conscious work upon the two primordial forces:
Rigueur (Severity), which cuts, purifies, and defines,
and Miséricorde (Mercy), which expands, nourishes, and sustains.
These are not opposing energies but twin currents seeking one another.
Sometimes life bends us toward harshness; other times toward softness. Thus the map of our shadows and lights is traced.
From a Jungian perspective, this work is the art of reconciling inner opposites—an inner alchemy uniting what seems irreconcilable.
This is the silent mystery of the Middle Pillar.
Finding the center is not about static balance.
No….
It is the awakening of the Middle Way, where forces merge to reveal a subtler, higher current.
The union of Severity and Mercy.
The dance of the masculine and the feminine.
The flow between the active and the receptive.
Two rivers meeting to create a more elevated stream.
Only then is the true Middle Pillar born,
and with it, the return to the place where duality dissolves into unity.
