Dear Mom Guilt,
I’ve been crying all day. The weight of guilt and shame feels unbearable right now. We’re in a season of struggle, and some days, like today, it feels like everything is falling apart.
This morning, my baby came in and asked if they could make me pancakes. And you know what? That moment shattered me. Not because it wasn’t sweet—but because I felt guilty letting someone else care for me.
Why is it so hard to receive love when we’re so quick to give it?
To the mama out there feeling like she’s failing… you’re not alone. If your house is messy, your patience is thin, and your heart is tired—please hear this: you are not broken. You are human.
Being cared for doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’ve poured so much out, your cup deserves to be filled too.
So if today you need a cry, a quiet moment, or someone else to make the pancakes—let it be okay.
You’re still brave. You’re still beautiful. And you are absolutely worthy of the same love you so freely give.
