Saint Sharbel Mission of Milwaukee is a vibrant Maronite Catholic community that is part of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles, and who is committed to glorifying the Lord and upbuilding His Church in the State of Wisconsin (and why not its bordering States as well!). The patron Saint of our Mission is Saint Sharbel, the hermit monk and priest who is known as the "Miracle Monk of Le
banon." Our mission is to grow in the love of Christ and our desire is to grow our community of faith by
* experiencing the living Church in Word, Sacraments, and Community
* serving children, youth, adults and older-adults in the name of Jesus Christ.
* welcoming all who wish to encounter Christ in the Syriac Maronite Antiochian tradition and who wish to receive a special blessing from Him through the powerful intercession of St Sharbel. PS:
The “MARONITE Rite” is an Eastern Catholic rite that takes its name from a holy hermit defender of the Catholic faith, called St. MARON, who lived in the 4th and 5th centuries in Northern Syria. The Maronite Church became a formal entity in the 7th century, with the institution of the Maronite Patriarchate under the leadership of the first Maronite Patriarch St. The Maronite Church is the only Eastern Catholic Church that has been in communion with Rome from its beginnings and who henceforward does not have any Orthodox counterpart.
