Today is "Good Friday" and Sunday is coming soon.
On Good Friday we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). It is followed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to him by faith (Romans 6:5).
The cross is where we see the convergence of great suffering and God’s forgiveness. Psalms 85:10 sings of a day when “righteousness and peace” will “kiss each other” The cross of Jesus is where his love and mercy occurred. We receive divine forgiveness, mercy, and peace because Jesus loves us, he endured the cross on Good Friday, knowing it led to his resurrection, our salvation, and the beginning of God’s reign of righteousness and peace.Good Friday marks the day when His steadfast love and faithfulness met together at the cross.
GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, on this Good Friday, help me to prayerfully remember and appreciate the mystery of Your Son Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross. Jesus gave His own life for me to live and rise again; he emptied Himself for me to be rich in Your Divine Mercy and Compassionate Love, and that I may stay at Your side and call You 'my Father' despite my imperfections and weaknesses. For this reason, Father, help me become more like Your Son Jesus so that I may never be afraid to carry my 'own crosses' in this journey through life. Help me as well, Father, that I may learn to give without counting the cost and do as much as possible to serve others with all my heart and soul. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
You may be in a Friday, but your Sunday is coming.
That diagnosis is not final, Sunday is coming
That depression is not final, Sunday is coming
That injustice is not final, Sunday is coming
That darkness is not final, Sunday is coming
That unsolved case is not final, Sunday is coming
Your battles, your pain, your suffering, are a Sunday away from being healed.
By his wounds we are healed, by his mercy we are forgiven, and by his death we are saved!
Sunday is coming 🤍
Have a blessed Holy good Friday. Blessings.
