It’s time to clean off graves for spring and summer! We ask that all winter holiday items be removed from graves so we can cut the grass around graves and not hit any items! Thank you!!

Cemetery spring clean up!

Nice weather is coming which means we will be starting to cut grass and do yard work at the cemetery very soon. With that being said we are asking for all holiday items/old flowers to be removed from graves or grass around graves by April 15. We would hate to hit these items with the lawnmowers and damage the items or damage our mowers. We would appreciate it if you didn’t leave old decorations for us to get rid of, we would like for you to dispose of them. If you have any questions or you can’t make it and would like for us to remove items for you just let us know. Thank you, we greatly appreciate it!

As many of you know my dad Don Black took great care of the cemetery until the age of 89. He worked everyday cutting, trimming, and making it all look great and did this mostly without pay. Today there are 4 of us working and keeping it trimmed and cut and did this while we all have full time jobs and it’s a huge undertaking. Not being able to be there everyday makes it difficult. We are asking for any volunteers able to help as we volunteer as well. All mowers will be provided! Whatever help we can get will be greatly appreciated. We do apologize for the cutting not done as dad did it. Time is limited for us. If anyone wants to take care of their family section, we welcome you too. Please let us know if you are interested.

Just a reminder we ask that all holiday/old decorations or flowers be removed by this weekend. We will be starting to mow the grass in the next couple weeks and don’t want to hit these items. Anything that is in the way of the mower will need removed. Thank you
