Coming up in April:

Indiana Johnstown Districts Lay Servant Ministry Courses will be held 2 Saturdays - April 18 & April 25 from 10 AM until 3:30 PM each day. Classes will be in-person only. Lunch will be provided both days. Registration is $10 and you must purchase your course textbook.

Living Our United Methodists Beliefs (Heritage course) will be held at The Remnant Faith Community.

Indiana & Johnstown Districts Conference & Pre-Annual Conference Presentation
The Indiana and Johnstown Districts Conference will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2pm, at Trinity UMC (398 Church St, Indiana). Clergy serving churches in the Johnstown District are expected to attend along with at least 2 lay representatives from each church. All retired clergy and those serving in extension, as well as all local church laity, are welcome and invited to attend as we take care of the business of the district and celebrate the work and ministries of the churches in the Johnstown and Indiana Districts.

If you are attending Annual Conference, please plan to attend. If you are unable to attend your own District Conference, you are welcome to attend another District Conference, as the same pre-Annual Conference presentation will be made at every District Conference this year. Coming to Indiana District in October: Lay Servant Ministries Academy!!! We are offering three classes - two of which can be either in-person or online and the 3rd is only online. These classes are open to EVERYONE! Take a class for self-enrichment or to begin the path to being a certified lay servant or certified lay speaker. The only cost is for the participant books which you will need to order from Cokesbury or Amazon or another retailer of your choosing. Bishop Sandra encourages clergy and laity to engage in a Conference-wide book study using two suggested books. Watch the video from Bishop Sandra concerning these books and the continuation of anti-racism work here in the Western PA Conference.
