Gospel Fest

Gospel Fest We're thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting a virtual Gospel Fest production in 2021! Stay tuned to this page for further details and our premiere date!

Gospel Fest is an annual Christian music ministry hosted by the New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church. Gospel Fest's anchor choir, the Burlington Ecumenical Gospel Choir (BEC), is now in it's 32nd year. BEC is made up of performers from different religious denominations and walks of life. The mission of Gospel Fest, and BEC, is to educate the community about Black History Month, and share the missio

n of Christ through music. The New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church has a vision: one that binds and embraces our differences, illuminating our hopes, dreams, and cares. In an era of conflict, misunderstanding, and polarization around diversity and differences, Gospel Fest is a bright, shining light. Gospel Fest originated from a spiritual quest to celebrate Black History Month. Gospel Fest has now become a tradition in the Greater Burlington Community in honor of Black Heritage. Gospel Fest is a transformative experience for choir members, attendees, and all who are part of this annual event of celebration. We come together year after year, growing in numbers, to sing Gospel music which carried people through generations of slavery and persecution. Gospel Fest traditionally features the New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church Gospel Choir and the Interdenominational Burlington Ecumenical Gospel Choir. The Burlington Ecumenical Gospel Choir is made up of singers from various churches and individuals from around the state of Vermont. New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church is a friendly church. It’s a church that wants to sing praises to the Lord, create fellowship opportunities for the community and touch lives in a significant and positive way. Gospel Fest allows us to do all of these things and more. We welcome you!
