God-Honoring Relationships

October 21, 2026

Scripture calls us to let the reality of our love for Christ be seen in our relationships with fellow believers. We are called minister to others according to their needs: to pray for one another, to be considerate of one another, to love one another, to exhort and encourage one another, to carry one another’s burdens, to forgive one another, even to rebuke one another, if needed. The disciples practiced mutual submission, consulting one another on doctrinal issues and working through disagreements so as to honor Christ. How is your reverence for Christ reflected in relationships with those around you?

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.—Ephesians 5:21

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I want others to see that there is something different, something appealing in the way that we Christians love one another. Help me to respect and support my brothers and sisters in Christ in visible ways as we live our lives for You. In Your name I pray, Amen

Forgiven and Restored

God has given us everything we need in Jesus. Peter says that we have all we need for life and godliness in God’s promises. Paul tells us that we have every spiritual blessing in Christ. As leaders, Jesus has commissioned us to go in His name and authority. What do you trust Him to supply today?

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.—Ephesians 1:3

Prayer: Lord, too often I look at myself instead of relying on who You are as I lead. Forgive me. Refocus me on who You are and all that I am and have in You. You have promised never to forsake me. You have placed me where I am for Your purposes. You have given me Your Spirit. Today, let me meditate on who You are and go in Your strength. I pray in Your name, Jesus, Amen
