On Monday evening, the leaders of Rehoboth House of Prayer came together for , a time dedicated to deepening our spiritual leadership and strengthening our bonds through prayer and Bible study. Following a question from our sister Stephanie, we took some time to reflect on Matthew 5, where Jesus gives a directive on leadership while addressing the multitude He observed.

Every Sunday, much like Jesus, we gaze upon the multitude that God has entrusted to us, allowing us the privilege of signing His Name upon them. As leaders, we are called to be the salt of the earth for a community who will be "happy or fortunate—those who are fully satisfied or well-off," a sentiment captured by the Greek word "makarios." These individuals, who are "poor in spirit," are blessed, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them. In His dialogue with His followers, Jesus continued to identify those who are blessed, emphasizing God’s attributes—such as mercy, comfort, and abundant goodness—because they have direct access to these divine qualities simply by being present. (Matthew 5:1-17, Exodus 34:6 & 7)

Your prayers are the key to unlocking blessings.

In the year 2018, this devoted servant of God earnestly prayed that Rehoboth House of Prayer would emerge as a guiding lighthouse, not for my betterment but that the gifts of God would experience Divine blessings and spiritual direction. Each year since then, a generous donor has stepped forward to reaffirm that these heartfelt prayers have indeed been answered. Their ongoing support serves as a reminder of the remarkable ways in which faith can bring people together.

On Sunday, we looked into the Hebrew root word for curse, Arar (אָרַר). Arar signifies a Divine decree that disconnects us from God. Understanding this helps us grasp how disobedience can impact our lives and our relationship with God. This impactful message aligns with our responsibility as leaders to Cry aloud and spare not, according to Isaiah 58.

We identified how America, State of New York, the City of Buffalo, its churches, and our lives resemble Lamentations 1:1-3. In scripture, we sit solitary or lonely when we were once full. We have become desolate as we have become like slaves to sin. We run to look like the World instead of the leaders that God has made us to be.

When we examine the Hebrew word for curse within the context of Deuteronomy 28, starting in verse fifteen, we see that disobedience to God's commands can lead to the removal of divine attributes such as protection, healing, and peace from our lives. This highlights the importance of listening and obeying God's guidance to maintain His blessings.

Your prayers are the key.

In 2018, this servant of God prayed that Rehoboth House of Prayer would serve as a lighthouse for divine blessings and guidance. Every year, a generous donor reaffirms that those prayers were answered, highlighting the power of faith and prayer in uniting communities.

On Sunday, God's word was electrifying. The central question that I asked Pastor last week is: Are we doing enough to direct people to Salvation? Week after week, we preach or testify to people who say that they are saved. However, the evidence is clear: we all know how to do church in public; in private, we choose inequity, wickedness, transgression, and sin, so we forfeit the blessings of God.

Sunday, we came from Deuteronomy 28 where God was saying if you listen, understand, and do by obeying His commandments, the LORD YOUR GOD WOULD RESPOND BY SETTING YOU UP HIGH. The Hebrew word "asher” is often translated as “blessed” and can also mean “happy”. So the text in Deuteronomy can be translated to mean that we would be happy with God’s response if we would just listen, understand, and obey His commandments. I am looking forward to the next part of this “Promise” series.

This is what church looked like afterwards with our Fish and Loaves ministry. Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17, and John 6:1-14

This journey began with heartfelt prayer.

In 2018, this servant of God lifted his hopes in prayer that Rehoboth House of Prayer would be the lighthouse, paving the way for divine blessings and guidance for those in need who come to this church. Every year, this generous donor affirms that my prayers were heard and answered. This experience underscores the profound power of faith and the vital role that prayer can play in bringing communities together.

Monday night , we continued examining the image of Satan and how a gossiper can’t see God. We searched through the scriptures, examining the first three prophets: Moses, Miriam, and Aaron. We witnessed how Prophet Miriam and Prophet Aaron, who held positions in the Kingdom of God, were in the business of speaking against Moses because of his Ethiopian wife.

However, due to Moses faithfulness to God’s people, God’s work, and way he managed the things of God, the Prophet Miriam, God's servant, had to pay the cost of putting her lips on God’s faithful servant. No one, no position, is exempt from the penalty of gossiping. So, keep attempting to divide the work of God and God’s people. Keep putting your mouth on God’s faithful, the servants of God, and we will, just as Moses, command God to "HEAL YOU NOW"!

Sunday Kids church was amazing as always. I want to say thank you to all the tireless hands that make these experiences so great. This team of selfless compassion from Tim, Carmen, Mary, Teresa, Daniel, LaSheena, Kymeshia, Tonya, Christell, Leon, Larry, Laverne, Olivia, Tatee, Pam, Melinda, Josiah, Jerimiah, and both Stephaines was incredible.

The kids and I ate well because on the grills there were hot dogs from Super Price Shopper, sausages from Camellia Meats, along with steak, prime rib, and chicken cooked at Yard N Abroad: Larry, Nevaeh, Lasheena, and John. Minister Kerry brought salvation to our children through games, dances, and a lot of laughter. Our donors included James Desiderio Inc. with a wide range of fresh produce and vegetables, Walmart (Amherst, North Tonawanda, Niagara Falls, and Lancaster) with bikes, toys, games, and more goodies.
