The Potters Hands WNY The Potter's Hands WNY is a ministry of The Chapel Church in Getzville, N.Y. We are always in need of volunteers to help us continue our mission.

The Potter's Hands of WNY is a Christian ministry that provides household items and support to people recovering from domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking, and other desperate circumstances. We also strive to connect families and individuals with a local church congregation in their area so that they are not alone in their journey. All appointments are made through referrals from local community agencies and churches. Please contact us for more information about how you can help.

A homeowner in rural Kentucky nearly sold his tractor last week after finding it moved 20 feet from its usual spot three mornings in a row.
He thought someone was stealing it until he reviewed his trail cam. A clever young black bear had figured out how to put the tractor in neutral and was using the slight hill in the yard to roll it around like his own personal ride.
The bear would climb up, rock it back and forth to get it moving, then ride it down the slope before hopping off and pushing it back up for another go. He even seemed to be getting better at steering it with his paws. The owner now leaves the tractor in a flat area and puts out some safe treats so the bear doesn’t have to work so hard for his joyrides. Kentucky bears really treat life like one big playground.

Friends who wish to donate, here is an example of a small electric appliance, a hot plate. On sale right now at Macy's & it's under $20. Could your Community Group purchase & donate a few of these? Items like Electric kettles & toasters can also be found for under $20. It doesn't have to be expensive to be useful. Thanks for considering helping us with a small appliance donation.

We are so very Thankful for our committed crew of volunteers who show up regularly, even those who can only come serve for a limited time frame. Please feel free to stop by any Thursday. We are open from 9-2:30 if you want to see if you are a good fit to volunteer with us. We know it's not for everyone but you don't know till you try. Please Pray on it.
