We are SO incredibly blessed to have these amazing core members who are going strong in their 4th year with the Life Teen program here at Santa Cruz Catholic Church! ❤️

Many of them were serving as catechists in the classroom for years before that, and their dedication to our youth continues to be such a gift to our Santa Cruz community.

From Kindergarten through 12th grade, our Religious Education program is here to help your child grow deeper in their faith, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and discover the joy of being Catholic.

Prayer for Mental Health – August 2026
This month the Pope’s prayer intention is for evangelization in the city.

Large cities can be vibrant places full of life and diversity, but they are also often marked by anonymity and loneliness.

Many people in our cities quietly carry mental health challenges and mental illnesses, such as anxiety, depression, or addiction; living anonymously behind apartment doors, on crowded streets, or in homelessness.

Pope Leo XIV said, “So many people who suffer from different experiences of depression and sadness—they can discover that the love of God is truly healing.”

Let us pray we find new ways to proclaim the Gospel in our cities, discovering creative paths to build community and be a source of mercy and hope.

Our catechists and core team members gathered today for a retreat to prepare for the upcoming school year!
​We began with morning prayer, listened to an inspiring message from Fr. Chris, and spent time in Eucharistic Adoration letting the Holy Spirit lead the way. Our leaders are energized and excited to accompany our youth—from kindergarten all the way to high school seniors.
