Have you ever found yourself having this conversation and questioning “why God?” Why are these bad things happening in my life or to me ? I have been faithful, I serve the best I know how and yet all these bad things are still happening. God I just don’t understand.
This is a conversation I have had many times with God.
When I find myself in this state of mind, God often will remind me of the book of Job from the Bible. Job had done nothing wrong, he was faithful, he served God with his time, talent and treasure. Satan had approached God and basically said I have traveled the Earth and I’m out of people to tempt. God said Have you tried my servant Job? Satan was like well no I can’t touch him, you have a hedge of protection over him. The only reason he serves you so faithfully is because of how abundantly he is Blessed and protected, if you remove the hedge he will curse your name and turn his back on you. God said I know my servant, he will not do that. Try him. You can do whatever you want but you can not take his life. Satan literally took everything from him. He killed his children, killed his wife, cursed his land, even covered his body in incredibly painful sores. And yet not one time did Job ever curse God or turn his back on him. He continued to praise God though he didn’t understand. Did he question? Of course he did, but he worshipped God through the pain, the heartbreak and the confusion. We often find ourselves questioning why me? What did I do wrong? Why is God punishing me?
The truth is, God is NOT punishing you.
Maybe just maybe Satan thinks your not as faithful as God KNOWS you are. God trusts that your strong enough to endure these trials.
Praise God through the storms and trust him to help bring you through it.
Trust God, He trusts you...
