Endurance Through God’s Promises
The only way to stay in and maintain cheerful endurance is to stay focused on the promises of God.
Jesus said: “…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” - John 14:27 (KJV) and in the Amplified Bible: “Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”
Praise strengthens our faith and helps us to keep our eyes on God instead of our problems.
“Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.” - Psalm 71:8 (KJV)
When challenges arise, stay focused on what God has promised rather than the circumstances.
Abraham is a powerful example of enduring faith: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” - Romans 4:20–21 (KJV)
Abraham did not waver when faced with impossible circumstances. Instead, he remained strong in faith, gave glory to God, and became fully convinced that God would do exactly what He had promised.
To endure successfully, we must do the same—remain focused on God’s promises, fill our mouths with praise, refuse fear and unbelief, and stay fully persuaded that God is faithful to perform His Word.
Faith Declaration
I declare that I remain steadfast in faith and focused on God’s promises. My heart is not troubled, and I refuse to be afraid. My mouth is filled with praise and thanksgiving all day long. I do not stagger at the promises of God through unbelief, but I am strong in faith, giving glory to God. I am fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able and faithful to perform. In Jesus’ name, amen.
