It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Mr. Salvatore Mazzucco, a cherished member of our parish family and a devoted musician who gave his life in service to the Church.

For more than 40 years, he served as Music Director at Sacred Hearts & St. Stephen, and he also led music at St. Mary Star of the Sea until his retirement.

Through his faith, talent, and dedication, he enriched the liturgy and helped generations of parishioners pray more deeply through music.

A son of Saint Peter’s Parish on Hicks Street, he lived on Henry Street until his retirement. He also shared his gifts as a music teacher at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary School and St. Stephen High School, touching the lives of countless students along the way.

He passed away in New Jersey, where his services were held.

We give thanks for his many years of faithful service and for the lasting impact he made on our parishes and our community. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Due to the wonderful response to this event, tonight’s concert with the I CARE ORCHESTRA will now take place in the main church at Sacred Hearts & St. Stephen, rather than Cabrini Hall.

We are also pleased to share that the concert will be livestreamed on our page and on our website for those who are unable to attend in person.

We invite you to celebrate the Feast of St. John the Baptist, Protector of Sailors and Co-Patron of Pozzallo, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 11:45 AM at Sacred Hearts & St. Stephen Church.
