Walking into church at 13 can feel intimidating. Heading toward the back row, trying to figure out where you fit, wondering if anyone notices you.

On August 23rd, 13-year-old Shakora made a bold choice that set a powerful example for all of us. She took a step of courage and publicly declared her faith in Jesus Christ through baptism!

What made this milestone even sweeter? She didn't walk it alone. Shakora was baptized alongside her mother, Erin, and her grandmother, Candice—three generations declaring Christ together in one incredible morning.

Teenagers don't have to wait until they're older to take their faith seriously or make a real impact. Shakora's decision reminds us that when young people encounter Jesus, their whole world shifts, and our entire church community gets to step up and cheer them on.

Unforgiveness is sneaky. It doesn't always look like rage. Sometimes it looks like religion.

You're in the building every Sunday. You know the scriptures. But you're still plotting, still posting shade, still holding a record of what they did two years ago.

That's not holiness. That's unforgiveness wearing a church outfit.
Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

You can't separate them. Peace and holiness come together or not at all.

Working out alone is tough. That is exactly why we created the Building The Kingdom program!

We had our very first session August 8th with an awesome group. We tackled some low-impact bodyweight exercises in the fellowship room and shared some healthy snacks right after. We also set up accountability partners to keep each other on track all week long.

Ashley’s journey is a vivid picture of what baptism for a new believer looks like when raw faith meets open arms. She pulled in, met several women from our church family, and spent time talking with Pastor Ken.

That initial connection brought her back three days later for our official launch service on July 19th. What happened during the altar call that morning set off a chain reaction that led straight to her stepping into the waters of baptism on August 9th.
