A family very close to us in desperate need for more than just financial help this holiday season!
"It's the most wonderful time of the year?" But not so much for those who are waiting on the kidney transplant list. There are over 93,000 waiting just for kidneys. Of those, merely a fraction get kidneys. One thing most people don't know is that the longer a person is on dialysis, the sicker they get. It is a woefully insufficient band-aid that keeps the patient alive, but not well.
Greg is not able to work due to the drain on his body and mind. Essentially, the kidneys are not able to filter his blood and cleanse the toxins out. This affects all his organs and causes extreme fatigue and foggy thinking.
He is approaching a year of treatment. All this began in January this year. Due to his lack of income and the slow season for real estate, we are struggling to meet our BASIC needs!
