This Father’s Day at Lena Community Church, we will take time to honor fathers, grandfathers, spiritual fathers, mentors, and the men who have faithfully poured into the lives of others.

Father’s Day can bring many different emotions. For some, it is a day of joy and gratitude. For others, it may bring memories of loss, pain, absence, or regret. But no matter what this day brings up in us, Scripture points us to the perfect love of our Heavenly Father.

Psalm 103:13 says,

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.”

This Sunday’s message, The Heart of a Father, will be an encouraging reminder that God is compassionate, faithful, patient, merciful, and near. We will be challenged to leave a legacy of faith, speak words of blessing, walk in humility, and point our families to Jesus.

Whether Father’s Day is joyful, difficult, or somewhere in between, there is grace, healing, and hope in the love of our Heavenly Father.

Join us this Sunday at 10:45 AM at Lena Community Church.

Come be encouraged. Come be reminded. Come worship the Father who never fails.

Following Jesus is not always easy.

In John 15:18-27, Jesus prepares His disciples for a hard truth: the world that rejected Him will not always welcome those who follow Him.

But this passage is not meant to make us fearful. It is meant to make us faithful.

Jesus reminds us that we belong to Him. He reminds us that rejection from the world does not mean rejection from God. And He promises the help of the Holy Spirit as we stand for Christ and bear witness to the truth.

This Sunday, we will look at the message:

“When Following Jesus Costs Som**hing”
John 15:18-27

Come and be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that Jesus is worth following, even when the road is not easy.

This Sunday, come and be part of what God is doing.

There are things in life that we simply cannot produce on our own no matter how hard we try.

We cannot produce a Peace that lasts.
Nor can we command a Joy that holds steady.
Or possess a Love that keeps showing up.
We do not have the Strength to keep going.
And we don’t always bear Fruit that brings glory to God.

Jesus says, in John 15:1-17, “I am the vine; you are the branches.”

This Sunday, we will be looking at what it means to abide in Christ, to stay connected to Him, and to let His life produce fruit in us.

Jesus is not calling us to try harder in our own strength. He is calling us to come closer, to draw near, to remain in His love, and to trust Him to do the deep work that only He can do.

So, if you feel tired, dried out, stretched, pruned, or in need of a fresh strength, this message is for you.

Message: Abide in Me
Scripture: John 15:1-17

This Sunday, Come and be part of what God is doing.

Have you ever felt like you were trying to face life on your own?

In John 14:25-31, Jesus speaks to His disciples on the night before the cross. Their hearts were troubled. They were confused. They did not understand everything that was about to happen.

But Jesus gave them a promise: they would not be alone.

He promised the Holy Spirit, the Helper, who would teach them, remind them, comfort them, and guide them. Then Jesus gave them som**hing the world cannot give: His peace.

The peace of Jesus is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence of God in the middle of trouble.

This Sunday, we will continue the message:

Never Alone, Part 2
The Promise of His Presence
John 14:25-31

If your heart has been troubled, if fear has been loud, or if life has felt heavy, this passage reminds us that Jesus has not abandoned His people. The Father has sent the Spirit. The Son has made peace. And the believer is never alone.

This Sunday, Come and be part of what God is doing.

This Sunday at Lena Community Church, we will have the privilege of hearing Susie Eckiss share her testimony.

Susie’s story is a powerful reminder that no life is too broken for God to restore, no past is too dark for His grace to reach, and no person is beyond the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

For 16 years, m**h had a grip on her life. Addiction brought pain, loss, bo***ge, and brokenness. But that was not the end of her story.

Jesus changed her life.

What the world may have called hopeless, God called redeemable. What addiction tried to destroy, Christ made new. What shame tried to silence, grace turned into a testimony.

The Bible says:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Susie’s testimony is not just a story about what she came out of. It is a story about who brought her out. It is a story of mercy, healing, forgiveness, restoration, and new life in Christ.

If you have ever wondered whether God can still change a life, come Sunday and hear what He has done.

If you know someone who needs hope, invite them.

If you know someone who feels stuck, broken, ashamed, addicted, or too far gone, remind them that Jesus is still making people new.
