✝️ This Sunday at Grace City Church, we’re diving into one of the most powerful scenes in all of Scripture:

BARABBAS WALKS. JESUS DIES.
📖 Luke 23:18–25

Barabbas was guilty of rebellion and murder. Jesus was innocent.

Yet the crowd cried out for Barabbas to be released and for Jesus to be crucified.

⛓️ A murderer walked free while the Son of God walked toward the cross.

Why?

Because Barabbas’s story is our story.

We are the guilty ones.
We are the ones who deserve judgment.

Yet Jesus willingly stepped into our place, taking the condemnation we deserved so that we could receive the freedom we could never earn. 🙌

This Sunday, we’ll explore the incredible truth that the cross is the greatest exchange in human history:

Barabbas walked.
Jesus died.
And because Jesus died, sinners like us can live. ❤️‍🔥

📣 Church Announcements from Guatemala! 🇬🇹

Wednesday, August 5th at 5:45 PM
We’ll be hanging out in the kids area for the evening and enjoying fellowship together. Kids, bring your swimsuits if you want to play in the water! Grown-ups, bring your lawn chairs and a side dish to share.

🙌 Christ In Youth 2026 🎉

A couple of weeks ago, our high school students had the opportunity to attend CIY at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and we are so thankful for the week they had together.

From powerful worship and teaching to group time, volleyball, 9-square, dorm life, van rides, and even some BeanBoozled fun along the way, it was a week full of memories, laughter, friendships, and moments of growing closer to Jesus.

We are grateful for our students, our leaders, and everyone who prayed for and supported this trip. Please continue praying that God will keep working in the hearts of our students as they live out what they learned.
