Congratulations to our very own, Cynthia Hill Stephens 👏🏽👏🏽 Serving in the community as well in ⛪️

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, we’re recognizing some of the dedicated and compassionate members of the Archbold Auxiliary who serve patients and support the hospital in a variety of important roles.

As a young adult visiting an ICU waiting room, Cynthia admired the kindness and quiet dedication of the Pink Ladies. “I knew that one day I would like to be a part of such a helpful team,” she said, a goal she never forgot.

Today, she volunteers in the cardiovascular waiting room. “It’s rewarding to help others by being patient, kind, and encouraging,” she shared. Cynthia especially enjoys interacting with both staff and visitors, creating moments of connection during what can often be stressful times. Her role allows her to embody the same compassion she once admired, offering comfort through simple but meaningful gestures.

Proud of the Archbold Auxiliary’s mission and camaraderie, she describes it as “a great team” and continues to recommend volunteering to others who want to make a difference.

For more than a century, volunteers have supported the hospital and served patients in a variety of roles. From comforting patients to supporting careers in medicine through scholarships, Auxiliary members make a difference every day.
