You’re invited to re-enter the story of Jesus’ birth and reflect on the profound themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Christmas at Open Life is a time of preparation, bringing our hearts and daily lives into alignment with the Kingdom of God. Just as the Angels declared to the Shepherds, “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people,” we too are called to embrace the good news of the Messiah’s birth.

Join us this Sunday for our final Advent message on Love as we journey together through Scripture, rediscover the beauty of Christ’s coming, and prepare room in our hearts for Him. Sundays at 10 am and then join us for a very special Christmas Candlelight Service on December 23rd at 7 pm, all at Bonney Lake High School’s Performing Arts Center.

NO SERVICES AT OPEN LIFE TODAY
Due to the power outages, all Sunday services at Open Life are canceled today, 10/26.

Since we’re not able to meet this morning for our normal Open Life service, here are a few things you can do with the extra time. Listen to some worship music, open up scripture, and take some time to pray. Watch a recent message from Open Life you may have missed. Check in on neighbors, friends, and other Open Lifers and make sure they’re doing okay with the power being out overnight. We’re really sorry to not be able to meet together, but we’ll be back next Sunday, November 2nd, to continue our series Gifted and Called.

This was a picture taken by one of the teachers who was blessed by the cookies that were dropped off at their school this week. That same teacher went back for seconds today, and they were all gone. Same story from another school, and although the cookies were gone, the note of encouragement remained. Thanks to all who were used by God in this way to exemplify the love & kindness of Jesus to our schools this week!

It was fun touring World Vision around The Gathering Place today and sharing about our impact within East Pierce County. Answering their questions makes me realize just how many people at Open Life help distribute the many resources from World Vision we get to infuse into our partner organizations. Thank you to all who play a part in impacting our community through this partnership. Thomas was super impressed by both our work and our vision for the future.

Open Life is blessed with many servant hearts and community connections. Yesterday, Gaby Schwartz and Lorna helped with a large sort and distribution of World Vision goods to community organizations like the Orting Veterans’ Village, Sumner Family Center and the largest single distribution to date to the Washington Explorer Search and Rescue for their new facility.
