Our hearts are with the families and communities affected by the Spokane Complex Fires in Spokane, Washington, which began on August 1, 2026.

In the weeks since, members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, JustServe volunteers, missionaries, community organizations, and neighbors across the region have come together to help—providing food, clothing, emergency supplies, volunteer service, and other needed support.

From four truckloads of food and emergency supplies delivered from Welfare Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, to a community clothing drive for teens and kids in the Tri-Cities, Washington, and countless acts of service throughout the Spokane area, these efforts reflect something powerful: neighbors coming together to care for neighbors during a time of great need.

Many additional efforts continue quietly behind the scenes as individuals, families, congregations, nonprofits, and community allies work together to help those affected recover and rebuild.

Those wishing to support humanitarian relief efforts may also contribute to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

You can get tickets online to attend in person, or there will be watch parties across the country. Recently, as part of our global efforts to share the glad tidings of the gospel of Jesus Christ and increase awareness and understanding of the Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints published a new video, “What It’s Like Inside the Missionary Training Center”.
As President Nelson said in 2024, "My dear brothers and sisters, do you see what is happening right before our eyes? I pray that we will not miss the majesty of this moment! The Lord is indeed hastening His work.”
