Familia Gomez Ministries Partnering with Mexicans to plant and grow the local church in Mexico.

We are working in Mexico sent by First Baptist Church, Grove City, PA and in partnership with ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) to assist Mexican nationals in planting churches. We desire to work side by side Mexicans to teach, train, mentor, and help them plant local, autonomous doctrinally-sound churches.

Tomorrow we will be sharing with a long time supporting church in Canton, OH. We first visited them when Olivia was just 4 months old. Through a series of God-orchestrated happenings, they started to support us in 2014 when we served in Querétaro. Their pastor was one of only a handful who checked in with us often during our time spent in the US, even keeping us up on their bulletin board as missionaries to PA during those years. This church has sent a missions team to come and serve with us. It is an honor to represent churches like Grace Baptist Church, as missionaries in Mexico. 🇲🇽

We’ve loved sharing with these supporting churches over the past week! What an honor to represent them in Mexico and what a “tank-filling” blessing to share, mingle, and fellowship with each of them. Thank you, churches, for all you do, and allowing us to serve in Mexico!

We are also so thankful to our mission organization, ABWE. A day spent at the international headquarters, checking in with communications, Launch Point, missionary finance, and missionary care. We are so thankful for the support system God has given us and the way this biblically Christ-centered family of ministries works together!

We are on the road today traveling from Lancaster, PA to Indiana! We look forward to a few days with Bethany’s brother & family, and then on to share with our supporting church, Lifeway Baptist Church, in Bloomington, IN.

A certain special MK who we love very much is celebrating becoming a teen this Sunday too! We are thankful for her and how she has taken on life in Mexico and truly adapted to Mexico in so many ways. She is a constant helper to us and has loved greeting and meeting many at all the places we’ve been at these weeks. It’s hard to believe how fast she’s growing up!

We’ve had a great week in eastern PA! We have visited churches, visited supporters, received a debriefing time at ABWE International Headquarters, and spent time with ABWE teammates and friends! It’s been a wonderful time. Tonight, we share with our supporting church, Lake View Bible Church! We are excited to see this church family and share what God has been doing in Mexico. 🇲🇽

We’re off to Erie, PA today! We are so excited to reconnect with Bethel Baptist and their pastor Tim George and his wife and family. We had a great time with them two years ago when we last saw this church. The sun is shining and we are thankful for each opportunity God has given us to share these two months. We are also missing our church family in Querétaro and the warm sun and the warm fellowship there in the family of Christ.

Wonderful service, sharing, encouragement, and an amazing all-American meal afterwards!! Plus a short visit in the late afternoon to Presque Isle State Park to take in the beauty of Lake Erie.

Hoy vamos rumbo Erie, Pensilvania. Estamos emocionados de reconnectar con la iglesia Bautista Betel de Erie y su pastor Tim y su familia. Tuvimos mucho convivio bonito con ellos hace 2 años, la última vez que los vimos. Ya dejó de llover y nevar y aunque hace un frío “de perro” salió el sol y estamos agradecidos por cada oportunidad de compartir en estos dos meses. Y sí, extrañando mucho a nuestra querida iglesia Bíblica Cristo Salva y el sol calientito de Querétaro, y la koinonia en familia en Cristo allá.

Pasamos un hermoso servicio, tiempo de compartir, convivió, y después una comida “100% estadunidense” en casa de algunos hermanos, y al final una visita express al parque estatal de “Presque Isle” para ver la hermosa naturaleza del lago Erie. 💕

A few fun adventures and times here in Western PA:

-Dinner with our old neighbors and friends
-A beautiful trail walk when it was warm last week, with another friend from my old Bible study group.
-Sharing with a public high school Youth For Christ group early Wednesday AM.
-Silvia has her first hole-the-wall-little-mom-and-pops-diner-breakfast
-Meeting with our missions team coming to Mexico in July.
-Introducing Silvia to Chick-Fil-A. God did something special: the cashier at CFA, Liz, had served on two missions trips to Mexico. 🇲🇽 ..then, she GIFTED us our entire meal and promised to pray for us when we gave her our prayer card. The family of Christ is close-knit worldwide! When moments like these happen, it always amazes us!
