Starting a daily devotional…..

🌸 DAY 1 — “Where Are You?”

📖 Genesis 3:8–9

💬 Let’s start here…

If we were sitting across from each other right now…
no pressure, no pretending…

I wouldn’t ask you what you’ve done.

I’d ask you:

“Where are you… really?”

Not the answer you give people.
Not the version that sounds okay.

But the real place inside.

📖 Let’s read this together…

“They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden… and they hid…
But the Lord God called, ‘Where are you?’”

💬 Let’s walk through this slowly…

Adam had just sinned.

And his first instinct… was to hide.

Not run to God.
Not explain.

Hide.

And if we’re honest…
we’ve done the same thing.

Maybe not physically…

…but emotionally, spiritually—we step back.

We stay busy.
We stay distracted.
We avoid being still long enough to actually feel what’s going on inside.

🔥 Let me say something gently… but honestly

Some of us aren’t running from God…

We’ve just learned how to stay just close enough to not feel distant—
but not close enough to be fully known.

❤️ Here’s what matters most in this moment

God came looking.

He didn’t wait.

He didn’t withdraw.

He moved toward Adam.

And He’s moving toward you too.

🪞 Let me ask you something real…
• Where have you pulled back from God?
• Where are you avoiding being fully honest with Him?
• Where do you feel distant—but haven’t admitted it?

✍️ Take a moment…

Don’t fix it.
Don’t clean it up.

Just tell the truth.

“God, here is where I really am…”
