Rise Up O’Sleeping Giants
He wants to prosper us and give us hope and a future. But Somewhere along the way we have become complacent ,relaxed and we have layed all the way down so far down we can’t hardly get back up ,so complacent that all we know is these four walls ,no witness and no testimony! For the apostasy of the inexperienced will kill them,(abandonment) of Christ
and the complacency of fools will destroy them.Proverbs 1:32 Rise Up O’Sleeping Giants, we should want to be a people full of zeal -The believer is eager to “embrace, pursue, or defend” Jesus Christ in everything they do.and we should have a love for people and the kingdom of God or are we like the Word says in Zephaniah At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and I will punish the men who are complacent. Those who say in their hearts, the Lord will not do good, nor will he do ill.”
– Zephaniah 1:12 We are not looking to God for nothing we sit as to say honey I have arrived ,being self satisfied and self righteous, don’t let success cause us to become smug nose ,head high and not giving God our best! We should never go through a day and not think about the goodness of God, or considering the fear of God, honoring Him and thinking of the coming judgment and the seriousness of sin! Rise Up O’ Sleeping Giants! Get up -Giants with running in our feet with zeal and gratitude and with a zeal for holiness and passionate about God and for the things that concern God! When we are lazy and sleepy we sin against the Great Commandment He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind .Mathew 22:37 If we have not honored God in an entire day that’s sin ,the song writer says it best Rise up, O saints of God!
From vain ambitions turn; Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.Philippians 2:3
Christ rose triumphant that your hearts
with nobler zeal might burn. Speak out, O saints of God!
Despair engulfs earth's frame;
as heirs of God's baptismal grace,
the word of hope proclaim. This old world, this
Creation cries in pain;
stretch forth your hand of healing now,
with love the weak sustain ,words are to give grace to others (Ephesians 4:29), and ends your hearts to seek ,Commit
the paths which Christ has trod,
and, quickened by the Spirit's power,
Rise Up, O saints of God! So I say to us as a whole Rise Up O’Sleeping Giants . The spirit of the Lord is saying Rise up, O men of God! Men Have done with lesser things.
