Knights of Columbus Council 9094 This is an old page that is no longer supported. In 1882, Father Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus at St.

Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut. He lived only Eight years after the orders founding but in those eight years the number of councils grew to 57. The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 13,000 councils and 1.7 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Baha

mas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan. The Order provides aid and benefits to members and their families, and beneficiaries. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. It promotes and conducts social, charitable and educational activities ranging from local communities to nationwide and international. We foster strong ties to the Catholic Church and it’s doctrine, from the Papacy to local parishes. We promote social and intellectual interplay among members and their families.
