The Fonda Cemetery committee invites the public to a meeting on October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Big Sandy, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is to plan for cleaning day and fundraising activities. All are welcome to attend, and donations in support of these efforts are appreciated, regardless of attendance.

The late Green Strickland Jr., our father, dedicated considerable time to maintaining Fonda Cemetery and requested that we ensure his efforts continue. We organized a cleanup day last October, as depicted in the shared photographs. A committee has been established, and we invite others to join us in fulfilling our father's wishes to preserve Fonda Cemetery as a beautiful resting place for family and loved ones. A meeting, fundraiser and cleaning day are forthcoming; please stay tuned for the announcement of dates.
