Red Letter Missions

Red Letter Missions RLM's goal is to bring Christ, health care, education, food and other resources to needy communities. What does that mean?

It is our mission and vision is to take Jesus' words and commands literally and fulfill His commission here on earth. Simply put our organizational goal is to feed, clothe, teach equip, serve and mentor to the most needy populations throughout the world. We accomplish this through the generosity of the body of Christ and the motivation of volunteers. It is our goal to reach and minister to this co

mmunity through; discipleship, resources, and health care. It is our conviction that with out the implementation of a faith in and following of Jesus Christ, that all the other services and programs will not have a lasting effect or change on the population we are trying to reach. That true change is only brought about by a personal relationship with Jesus.

Prayer and financial support needed for a dear friend of this ministry. She and her family are struggling after years of battling this disease. Her husband had to leave the Air Force after 17 years to help take care of her during this time. Leaving them in a daily struggle to pay for all of the medical as well as general financial commitments. Any prayers or contributions would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks PG

As a mother of three I refuse to give up this fight. There has not been a lot of research done about my disease compared to others because this disease is so rare. It is called Re-current Diffused Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis. It is proliferative and attacks joints and the connective tissue....

Everyone knows that I am hard to impress when it comes to Christian service because I believe it's what we are all called to do. So when I tell you that the Lexington Rescue Mission is the real deal, I mean it! They are truly "walking the walk" They are serving literately to a hand to mouth community. And they are meeting needs at almost every level. Honestly, they don't ask for much because they don't have time to beg. They are to busy doing the work. So when I see a request like this to me it's the Lord saying "make this happen" Kelly and I have maxed out our giving this month so I know there is someone out there that can get their hands on these items. send them to: 444 Glen Arvin Ave, Lexington, KY 40508 or call (859) 381-9600 to set up delivery. Don't wait till the weekend let's take care of this by close of business tomorrow. PG

Give Them The Unexpected”
One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer- Now a man crippled from birth was put there everyday to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. Taking him by the hand, he helped him up….Act 3:2-7
We know this story very well with its almost musical chorus of “silver and gold have I none.” But one of the many things that I draw from these verses is that the beggar was looking to Peter and John expectantly. When Peter said “Look at us!” He had his undivided attention. Now, what the beggar got from them was certainly not what he expected. He was hoping for, yes longing for, a temporary fix. Something to keep him going for one more day. What he received was complete healing and restoration.
People often look to us in expectation. They may not know what they want or even need from us but they expect something. Let us have the courage and faith Peter and John had in the above verses. Let’s not just give them what could and would only take care of the minimal need. Let’s go out of our way to exceed their expectations. To blow their minds if you will. God can and will do big things for his people if we only have the faith to reach down and pull one another up. Don’t just give them what they want-Give them what they need!
