The Troop had fun and adventure during our July camp out at Inks Lake State Park. Scouts enjoyed fishing, swimming, and jumping off the rocks into the Devil’s Waterhole. On Saturday, Scouts got the chance to practice their riding skills at Spider Mountain, Texas’ only lift-enabled mountain bike park. On land and in the water, Scouts challenged themselves physically and mentally!

Our Philmont crew has made it home safely!

What an incredible adventure it has been. Over the course of the trek, our Scouts and leaders faced challenges, pushed beyond their comfort zones, and discovered strengths they didn’t know they had. From long miles on the trail to unforgettable views, every step of the journey created memories that will last a lifetime.

We are proud of the perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and positive attitude shown by every member of the crew. Philmont tested us, taught us, and rewarded us with experiences we’ll never forget.

Thank you to all the families, supporters, and leaders who helped make this adventure possible. Welcome home, Crew 611-P! We’re proud of you!

Troop 122 made it back home from Kerr Scout Ranch in Oklahoma. After a final night around the fire at Dog Iron, Scouts were up early taking down their tent and packing the Troop Trailer. After a quick breakfast, the Troop started the journey back to Belton (with most Scouts napping the whole way). The Scouts decided to stop for brunch at a Waffle House outside of Fort Worth to enjoy one more meal together before parting ways.
