God is a God of the Present-- By Henri Nouwen

"The real enemies of our life are the “oughts” and the “ifs.” They pull us backward into the unalterable past and forward into the unpredictable future. But real life takes place in the here and the now. God is a God of the present. God is always in the moment, be that moment hard or easy, joyful or painful. When Jesus spoke about God, he always spoke about God as being where and when you are. “When you see me, you see God. When you hear me, you hear God.” God is not someone who was or will be, but the One who is, and who is for me in the present moment. That’s why Jesus came to wipe away the burden of the past and the worries of the future. He wants us to discover God right where we are, here and now."

已經是幾年前的一個post. 今天仍被提醒了- 知足，感恩，相信。

穿着這雙黑皮鞋的，是我的朋友。他有一個患重病的妻子，他熱心服務人，忠心愛上帝。他滿臉從容、慈善。他光着頭，有點佛相。
褲頭鬆鬆，皮帶束得緊緊...這幾年，消瘦了，靈魂卻，豐滿了。
他穿的，是一雙破皮鞋，步履卻是輕省的。
這陣子，我為着如何能買更大的房子而煩腦，我看着這雙黑皮鞋...感到有點慚愧。
「呀，偷看他幾號鞋子，送他一雙新的吧！」我想到這裡，更是不能言語的感到有點羞愧；感到「缺乏」的，是我，不是他。
轉身，看見他正在微笑的，服務着其他人，他看起來，很滿足。..那雙黑皮鞋，敎了我一個功課。
上帝啊，祢的聲音，總是微小的，卻常常在生活中出現。
今天，我謝謝祢，讓我看見了這雙黑皮鞋。

“Hope” is not for the outcome but the attitude for the here and now. 近排都係學緊盼望嘅主題。faith 同hope 同love 嘅分別，喺學校嘅時候已經學咗一個好好嘅定義，而家喺邊學邊活。簡單咁講，我嘅理解係：好似揸車on the road 咁，Faith 係方向、Hope 係東南西北，喺前面但未到嘅「方向」、Love 係你揸架車嘅動力。呢啲真係要寫低，好驚以後唔記得。

其實最難嘅係去到最底層嗰度— 「我是…」。諗起盧雲曾經講過…. “I am not what I do, I am not what I have, I am not how others say about me. I am the beloved child of God!”
