Introduction:
Why did you pick up this book? Where you compelled by something inside? Curious about the title? Whatever the reason I believe that there is no coincidence that you are reading this. I believe everything happens for a reason whether we believe it or understand it. Truth is like a brick wall you can hit it with the “I feel like” stick all day long and it doesn’t change. Here in this
book I will explain the story of my beliefs and how I have come about to what I believe but most importantly I will try to show Jesus for who He is and how He has changed my life! I don’t account anything of my own but all of Him. But HE WHO BOASTS IS TO BOAST IN THE LORD. 2 Corinthians 10:17
I want you to know that Jesus didn’t come into this world to create a new social group called Christianity. He came for the lost and the broken to bring hope and life into a dead and broken world. If the Christians you see aren’t like that than they just don’t know Jesus. I am not writing this book to bash Christians but to uplift Jesus! This world needs more Jesus, not people that call themselves Christians to fit in. The word Christ-ian comes from being Christ-like, a true Christian that seeks to know God will bring hope. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. So this is the foundation for my beliefs. Keep reading if you want to know more about this Jesus I speak of or how to get to know Him more. In this book you will find lots of testimonies. Testimonies both from the bible and out of my personal life. There will be testimonies both from the New and the Old Testament. I believe that testimonies are very important because they bring forth new faith into peoples lives. If you have ever heard a testimony that brings a sudden uplifting feeling in your stomach that is the power of God bringing faith into your life. God has done too many things in this world for someone to write them all down. Now with that said I will do my best to uplift your faith from things that I have seen or testified to in the bible. Along with personal stories that God has given me through my walk as a child, throughout my job and my marriage. God bless you and keep you and make your path straight through out all your dealing in these coming days. The Word of God - I will also try to add as many coordinating scriptures as I see fit throughout this book because I believe strongly in the word of God being powerful. Feel free to speak these words out loud for they are the power of God himself. Provoking Thoughts - At the end of each chapter I will add a couple questions for you to think on. These are not to judge or criticize anyone but to get you thinking honestly because denial hasn’t ever helped anyone. We have to bring things into the light to find peace and healing. Prayer of Salvation: I want to give anyone and everyone reading this book that hasn't already given their life to Jesus a chance to do so at the end of each chapter. Specifically before the prayers of my people section because there is order in God and we have to have the right spirit in us for His power to flow through us. Prayers of my people - I will include a prayer to speak out loud over your life for the theme of the chapter. You can choose to pray these prayers just at the end of the chapter or even go back through the prayers that testify to your situation best and repeat as necessary. Now don't pray these prayers unless you mean them because God is serious about the words that we speak and He will hold us to them. He will start to do things in your life if you start to pray these prayers.
