Good Morning BCC and CLT family and friends.

Welcome to our Saturday Morning breakfast in the word once again! I first want to thank each one of you who reads and are being helped by our breakfast. This breakfast serves as our weekly Bible Study lesson along with announcements of what's going on in BCC and CLT and areas churches.

Today's breakfast is :

The Sufficiency of God’s Grace

2 Corinthians 12:9

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

God’s grace is enough for every burden, every battle, and every believer.

The aim of this lesson is to help God's people to understand that God’s grace is sufficient to sustain, strengthen, and satisfy them through every circumstance of life.

The Apostle Paul was a great preacher, missionary, and church planter. Yet he had a “thorn in the flesh” that caused him continual difficulty. Three times Paul asked God to remove it. Instead of removing the thorn, God supplied grace.

Sometimes God changes our circumstances. Other times He changes us within our circumstances. When God says, “My grace is sufficient,” He is declaring that what He provides is greater than what we face.

The word grace (Greek: charis) means God’s unmerited favor, kindness, and divine enablement. Grace is not merely God’s pardon for sin; it is God’s power for living.

I. Grace Sustains Us Through Trials

“My grace is sufficient for thee.”

Paul discovered that God’s grace could carry what his shoulders could not.

A. Grace Supports Our Weakness

•We are limited, but God is limitless.
•We are frail, but God is faithful.
•Isaiah 40:29 — “He giveth power to the faint.”

B. Grace Steadies Our Walk

•Grace keeps us from falling apart.
•Grace enables us to keep moving when life gets difficult.
•Psalm 37:24 — Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down.

C. Grace Supplies Our Needs

•Every trial comes with a fresh supply of grace.
•God never sends a burden without providing strength to bear it.

II. Grace Strengthens Us In Weakness

“For my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

God often does His greatest work through our greatest weakness.

A. Weakness Produces Dependence

•Paul learned to lean on God rather than himself.
•Self-sufficiency can become an obstacle to spiritual growth.

B. Weakness Reveals Divine Power

•God’s power shines brightest against the backdrop of human weakness.
•Gideon’s army was reduced so God’s power could be seen.

C. Weakness Develops Spiritual Maturity

•Trials deepen our faith.
•Difficulties strengthen our character.
•Weakness teaches us to trust God’s promises.

III. Grace Satisfies Us In Every Situation

“Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities…”

Paul moved from complaining about his thorn to celebrating God’s grace.

A. Grace Brings Contentment

•Grace teaches us that God is enough. Philippians 4:11-13

B. Grace Produces Confidence

•We can face tomorrow because God’s grace will be there. Lamentations 3:22-23

C. Grace Brings Comfort

•God’s presence is often most real in our pain.
•His grace quiets fears and calms troubled hearts.

When You Feel Overwhelmed:

Remember: God’s grace is greater than your burden.

When You Feel Weak:

Remember: God’s strength is strongest in your weakness.

When You Feel Alone:

Remember: God’s grace guarantees His presence.

When You Feel Like Giving Up:

Remember: God’s grace will carry you one more day.

Paul prayed for the thorn to be removed, but God gave something better—sufficient grace.

The lesson of 2 Corinthians 12 is not that God always removes the problem. The lesson is that God always supplies the grace.

God’s grace is:

•Sufficient for every trial.
•Stronger than every weakness.
•Greater than every burden.
•Enough for every day.

When life becomes difficult, the child of God can stand on this promise:

“My grace is sufficient for thee.”

Stop focusing on the thorn and start trusting the grace.

You may not know how God will work it out, but you can know this: Whatever you face, God’s grace will be enough to get you through it!

Let's continue to pray for our sick and shut in members and friends; especially our super seniors.

Sis. Tina Simien turned 102 years old Thursday, June 4, 2026. Let us continue to pray for Sis. Simien and her family!

June 21, 2026 (Third Sunday) is Father's Day. Pastor Bree is asking every member of BCC to invite a male to church on Father's Day. He is asking the males to please wear Black and White.

BCC Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., each Sunday morning with Morning Worship following at 9:30 a.m. We also broadcast live each Sunday Morning on Facebook.

Thank each and everyone for your support of this ministry.

God Bless You and Good Morning!

"Don’t Let Go of God’s Hand” - Isaiah 41:13

“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Life has a way of placing believers in painful situations and perplexing seasons. There are moments when burdens become heavy, storms become fierce, and struggles become long. During those difficult times, the enemy wants God’s people to loosen their grip on faith and walk away from God.

But the message of scripture is clear:

No matter what life deals, never let go of God’s hand.

When:

*trouble rises,
*tears fall,
*trials linger,
*and tomorrow looks uncertain,

God still promises:

“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — Hebrews 13:5

The same God that carried you before can carry you again.

I. HOLD GOD’S HAND THROUGH LIFE’S PRESSURES

A. Pressures Are Predictable

Jesus said:

“In the world ye shall have tribulation…” — John 16:33

No believer is exempt from hardship.

•Job faced pressure
•Joseph faced pressure
•Paul faced pressure
•Jesus faced pressure

Trouble is a reality of life.

B. Pressures Can Produce Panic

Hard seasons often tempt believers to:

•fear,
•faint,
•fret,
•fold.

Peter began sinking when he focused more on the storm than the Savior.

The enemy wants pressure to produce panic instead of prayer.

C. Pressures Reveal God’s Power

Paul declared:

“For when I am weak, then am I strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:10

Sometimes God allows pressure so His power can be displayed.

•Pressure develops perseverance
•Pressure strengthens prayer
•Pressure deepens dependence upon God

II. HOLD GOD’S HAND THROUGH LIFE’S PROLONGED PROBLEMS

A. Problems May Persist

Some burdens last longer than expected.

•prolonged sickness,
•prolonged sorrow,
•prolonged struggle,
•prolonged waiting.

But delayed deliverance does not mean denied deliverance.

B. Problems Require Persistence

Galatians 6:9 says:

“Let us not be weary in well doing…”

The believer must:

•Keep praying,
•Keep praising,
•Keep pressing,
•Keep persevering.

The woman with the issue of blood suffered twelve long years, yet she kept pressing until she reached Jesus.

C. Problems Produce Progress

Romans 5:3-4 teaches that tribulation produces:

•Patience
•Experience
•Hope

God often uses painful places to produce spiritual progress.

Sometimes God is preparing you while He is processing you.

III. HOLD GOD’S HAND THROUGH LIFE’S PERPLEXING PATHS

A. Paths Become Puzzling

There are seasons when life does not make sense.

• Prayers seem unanswered,
•Doors seem closed,
•Directions seem unclear.

But Proverbs 3:5 reminds us:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

B. Paths Require Promise

When believers cannot trace God’s hand, they must trust God’s promises.

God promised:

- “I am with thee”
- “I will help thee”
- “I will strengthen thee”

God’s promises are greater than our problems.

C. Paths Lead to Purpose

Jeremiah 29:11 says:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you…”

God already knows:

•The direction,
•The destination,
•The deliverance.

Nothing in the believer’s life is accidental.

God has purpose even in painful places.

The Bible is packed with Examples of People Who Held On

Job — Held On Through Pain

“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.”

Joseph — Held On Through Prison

From the pit to Potiphar’s house to prison to the palace, Joseph never let go of God.

David — Held On Through Persecution

Though Saul pursued him, David trusted God.

Paul and Silas — Held On Through Punishment

Though beaten and imprisoned, they still prayed and praised.

Blind Bartimaeus — Held On Through Opposition

The crowd tried to silence him, but he cried even louder.

How Do We Hold God’s Hand?

1. Maintain Prayer

Prayer keeps believers connected to God.

2. Meditate on the Word

The Word strengthens weak hearts.

3. Meet with God’s People

Fellowship encourages faithfulness.

4. Magnify God Through Praise

Praise shifts focus from problems to power.

5. Monitor Your Perspective

Focus on God’s promises instead of your pain.

Conclusion:

There will be:

•Painful days,
•Perplexing nights,
•Pressing battles,
•and prolonged burdens.

But this is not the time to let go of God.

Hold on when:

•Life becomes painful,
•The valley becomes dark,
•The burden becomes heavy,
•and the answer seems delayed.

Because the same hand that:

•parted the Red Sea,
•protected Daniel,
•preserved Joseph,
•picked Peter up,
•and raised Jesus from the grave.

Is the same hand holding you today.

Don’t let go when:

•Pressure increases,
•People disappoint,
• Plans fail,
•Pain lingers,
•or problems multiply.

Keep holding His hand because:

•His hand is powerful,
•His hand is protective,
•His hand is providing,
•His hand is preserving,
•His hand is purposeful,
•and His hand is permanent.

If you keep holding God’s hand, God will keep holding you up.
So why don't you just hold to his hand, God's unchanging Hand and while you at it Build your hopes on things eternal and just hold on tight to God's unchanging hands!

Amen.

Let's continue to pray for our sick and shut in members and friends; especially our super seniors.

BCC will be receiving a love offering for Sis. Terra Jackson , daughter of Uvon (Peaches) Jackson and granddaughter of Sis. Addie Clara Smith, this Sunday, May 31, 2026 in our 9:30 a.m., morning worship.

Terra has been dealing with health issues that has frequently hospitalized her and has prevented her from working. Whatever contributions you can share will be greatly appreciated.

Sis. Lydia Daily has been released from the hospital and is now in rehabilitation/ therapy in Pearland, Texas. Let's keep her and her family in our prayers.

BCC Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., each Sunday morning with Morning Worship following at 9:30 a.m. We also broadcast live each Sunday Morning on Facebook.

Thank each and everyone for your support of this ministry.

God Bless You and Good Morning!

"The Stones Still Speak"

Joshua 4:1–9, 20–24

Memorial Day is a day set aside in the United States to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Families visit cemeteries, flags are placed on graves, names are remembered, and sacrifices are honored. Memorials matter because memory matters.

In Joshua chapter 4, God commanded Israel to take twelve stones out of the Jordan River and build a memorial. These stones were not decoration; they were declaration. They were reminders of what God had done.

Joshua 4:6 says:

“That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?”

The stones were designed to provoke questions and preserve testimony.

Just as America remembers fallen soldiers on Memorial Day, believers should remember the faithfulness of God and those who stood for truth before us.

God never wants His people to forget the sacrifices, struggles, and victories that brought them where they are.

I. THE STONES REPRESENT A PASSAGE

“God brought them through”

Joshua and Israel had crossed the overflowing Jordan River on dry ground.

A. A Miraculous Passage

God stopped the waters so His people could cross safely.

Just as soldiers crossed battlefields for our freedom, Israel crossed Jordan by the power of God.

B. A Memorable Passage

The stones were a permanent reminder that God made a way where there was no way.

Some of us have crossed rivers of:

•Sickness
•Sorrow
•Struggles
•Setbacks
•Suffering

Yet God brought us through.

C. A Meaningful Passage

Every stone testified:

“If God did it before, He can do it again.”

Memorial Day reminds us freedom is costly.
Joshua 4 reminds us deliverance is powerful.

II. THE STONES REPRESENT A PRICE

“Somebody sacrificed for us”

The freedom Israel enjoyed came through obedience, struggle, and endurance.

Memorial Day reminds us that liberty is never free.

(Freedom Requires Sacrifice}

A. Soldiers Paid a Physical Price

Many gave:

•Their strength
•Their future
•Their families
•Their very lives

Jesus said:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

B. Saints Paid a Spiritual Price

•Some prayed us through.
•Some preached us through.
•Some cried us through.

There are “stones” in our lives because faithful people stood when times were hard.

C. The Savior Paid the Ultimate Price

The greatest memorial is still the cross.

Jesus shed His blood so we could have:

•Salvation instead of sin
•Peace instead of punishment
•Eternal life instead of eternal death

The cross is heaven’s memorial stone.

III. THE STONES REPRESENT A PURPOSE

“Tell the next generation”

Joshua said the children would one day ask:

“What mean ye by these stones?”

A. We Must Preserve the Story

Future generations need to know:

•What God has done
•What others sacrificed
•How victories were won

B. We Must Pass Down the Faith

Our children must hear:

•How God healed
•How God delivered
•How God provided
•How God protected

If we stop telling the story, the stones lose their voice.

C. We Must Praise God for the Victory

The stones pointed back to God’s power.

Memorial Day should not only make us thankful for soldiers,
but thankful to God for sustaining our nation through dangers seen and unseen.

Everybody has some stones.

Some stones remind us:

•Where God brought us from
•What God brought us through
•Who helped us along the way

On this Memorial Day:
Remember the fallen.
Honor the faithful.
Thank God for His goodness.

And when somebody asks:

“What mean these stones?”

Tell them:

•These stones mean God made a way.
•These stones mean somebody sacrificed.
•These stones mean we must never forget.

Because the stones still speak.

Let's continue to pray for our sick and shut in members and friends; especially our super seniors.

Let us continue in prayer for Sis. Faye Johnson and Sis. Lydia Daily. Sis. Johnson is home recuperating and Sis. Daily is still in the hospital.

Congratulations to all graduates this month: Elementary, Jr. high, Sr. High, and College. May God continue blessing you on your journey toward your futures!

BCC will be taking our Memorial offering for the upkeep of our cemeteries on Sunday, May 24, 2026 in our Morning Worship at 9:30 a.m. See Sis. Georgia Petteway for whom to give your offerings to.

BCC will be doing a love offering for Sis. Terra Jackson; granddaughter of Sis. Addie Smith next Sunday, May 31, 2026 in our morning worship which begins at 9:30 a.m.

Terra has been dealing with a lengthy illness that has had her hospitalized numerous times, therefore unable to work. Your love gifts, however, large or small will be greatly appreciated.

The Macedonia Baptist Church of Brazoria will be installing their Pastor-elect Rev. D. Bates on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. The public is invited.

BCC Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., each Sunday morning with Morning Worship following at 9:30 a.m. We also broadcast live each Sunday Morning on Facebook.

Thank each and everyone for your support of this ministry.

Today's breakfast is : “True Faith”. Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

We live in a world where people put faith in money, medicine, politicians, popularity, and even personal ability. But biblical faith is different from worldly confidence. True faith is not merely wishing, hoping, or speaking positively. True faith is trusting God when you cannot trace Him, following God when you cannot fully see the outcome, and believing God even when circumstances say otherwise.

The Bible is filled with people who possessed true faith:

- Noah built before rain ever fell.

- Abraham left home not knowing where he was going.

- Moses chose suffering with God over pleasures in Egypt.

- The woman with the issue of blood believed before she touched Jesus.

-Blind Bartimaeus cried out before he received sight.

True faith is more than talk - it produces trust, obedience, endurance, and transformation.

What Is True Faith?

True faith is Trusting God despite unseen outcomes. One of my seminary professors gave one of the best definitions of faith that I have ever heard. He said, " Faith in lying flat down on God's word without doubting or testing the bed upon which you lay"!

Theologians says;

True faith is:

* Confidence in God’s character
* Dependence on God’s Word
* Obedience to God’s will
* Endurance through God’s process

Faith is not based on feelings.
Faith is based on God’s faithfulness.

I. True Faith TRUSTS God Completely

A. Trusts His Word

The Holy Bible teaches that God cannot lie.

* Abraham believed God’s promise concerning Isaac.
* Noah trusted God’s warning about the flood.
* Mary trusted the angelic message concerning Jesus.

B. Trusts His Ways

Sometimes God’s methods do not make sense naturally.

* Joshua marched around Jericho.
* Naaman dipped in Jordan.
* Gideon fought with a reduced army.

True faith says:

“Lord, even when I do not understand, I still trust You.”

C. Trusts His waiting

Faith learns how to wait without quitting.

* Joseph waited through the pit and prison.
* David waited years before becoming king.
* Lazarus’ family waited while Jesus delayed.

A person with true faith does not panic every time trouble appears. They learn to trust God in every season.

II. True Faith TRAVELS Through Trials Courageously

James 1:3 teaches that the trying of your faith produces patience.

A. Trials Reveal Faith

Storms expose what we truly believe.

* Peter walked on water until fear interrupted faith.
* Job suffered yet declared, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”

B. Trials Refine Faith

Gold is purified by fire, and faith is strengthened through hardship.

Faith goes through Pressure, which produces Perseverance which ends with Proof

* The three Hebrew boys faced the furnace.
* Paul endured beatings, prisons, and shipwrecks.

C. Trials Reward Faith

God honors those who remain faithful under pressure.

*. Daniel came out of the lion’s den.
* The woman with the issue of blood received healing.
* Blind Bartimaeus received sight.

True faith is not proven when life is easy.
True faith shines when life becomes difficult.

III. True Faith TRANSFORMS Life Daily

A. Faith Changes Conduct

When faith is real, behavior changes.

* Zacchaeus restored what he stole.
* Saul became Paul.
* The jailer in Philippi turned to Christ.

B. Faith Changes Conversation

Faith-filled people speak differently.

* Caleb said, “We are well able.”
* David spoke victory before facing Goliath.

True faith does not deny reality, but it refuses to doubt God’s power.

C. Faith Changes Commitment

Faithful believers continue serving despite opposition.

* Ruth stayed committed to Naomi.
* Esther risked her life for her people.
* Stephen preached truth even unto death.

True faith is not just something we say in church. It affects how we live Monday through Saturday.

True faith is not:

* Empty emotion
*Religious performance
* Mere church attendance
*Positive thinking alone

True faith is believing God enough to:

* Walk when you cannot see
* Wait when you do not understand
* Worship while hurting
* Witness despite opposition

Faith carried:

* Noah through the flood
* Moses through the wilderness
* David through battles
* Daniel through lion's den
* Paul through prisons

And that same faith can carry us today

•Fear says “give
•Doubt says “God forgot,” faith says “God is faithful.”
•Trouble says “you are defeated,” faith says “God is able.”
•Delay says “it’s over,” faith says “God is working.”
•Darkness says “there is no way,” faith says “God will make a way.”

Do you have:
Faith that talks?
Or Faith that trusts?

Because true faith is not just heard with the mouth - it is seen in the life.

Someone wrote a song that says, " Faith, Faith, Faith just a little more faith; to that someone else answered, "Oh you don't need a whole lot just use what you've got"!

That's the beauty of true faith, you don't need a whole lot just use what you've. Faith the size of a mustard seed can and will move mountains!

Let's continue to pray for our sick and shut in members and friends; especially our super seniors.

Let's pray for Sis. Lydia Daily. She is in the hospital and has had surgery.

Funeral services for Sis. Gwendolyn Green the daughter-in-law of Bro. Buddy Green is Saturday, May 30, 2026 in Michigan. Let's pray for the family that will be traveling to the service.

We will be taking a love offering for Sis. Terra Jackson on the 5th Sunday May 31st. Terra is the daughter of Sis. Uvon (Peaches) Jackson and the granddaughter of Sis. Addie Smith. Terra has been dealing with some significant medical issues for the past 2 1/2 years and has been in and out of the hospital many times. The love offering will be taken during our morning service at 9:30 a.m., here at Bethlehem. We invite family, friends and co-workers to join us during the service to share with Terra. If you cannot attend but would like to give, please contact Pastor K.W. Bree.

Pastor Bree's Grandson Trenton will be graduating from High School at 16 years old in Dallas on May 26. Pray for our pastor as he travels.

BCC Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., each Sunday morning with Morning Worship following at 9:30 a.m. We also broadcast live each Sunday Morning on Facebook.

Thank each and everyone for your support of this ministry.

God Bless You and Good Morning!

When The Enemy Goes Low, The Elect Goes High

Matthew 5:44 - “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you…”

Supporting Scripture: “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21

I borrowed the title of this lesson from former First Lady Michelle Obama during her speech at the democratic convention, " When they go low we go high."

We are living in a time where people will lie low, act low, talk low, and fight low. The enemy wants believers to come down from holiness, integrity, and godly character. The world says, “Get even,” but God says, “Rise above it.”

When the enemy goes low:
The elect must not lose their witness.

The elect must not lose their worship.

The elect must not lose their walk with God.

Anybody can retaliate, but it takes spiritual maturity to respond God’s way. The enemy tries to pull believers into bitterness, revenge, gossip, division, and hatred. But God calls His people to higher living.

Nehemiah said in Nehemiah 6:3: “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.”

That must become the testimony of the church:
“I cannot come down to your level because God has called me higher.”

I. When The Enemy Goes Low, the Elect Shows HIGHER CHARACTER

A. Don’t Sink Into Pettiness

*Pettiness in speech
*Pettiness in spirit
*Pettiness in schemes

B. Don’t Stoop Into Payback

*Payback through gossip
*Payback through grudges
*Payback through getting even

C. Don’t Slide Into Pollution

*Pollution of the mind
*Pollution of the mouth
*Pollution of the morals

Joseph was:

• Hated by his brothers
• Hurt by betrayal
• Handled unfairly

But he refused to become bitter.

II. When The Enemy Goes Low, the Elect Shows HIGHER CONDUCT

A. Walk In Love

*Love when attacked
*Love when accused
*Love when abandoned

B. Walk In Light

*Light in dark places
*Light in difficult seasons
*Light in dirty situations

C. Walk In Lordship

*Let God govern your attitude
*Let God guide your actions
*Let God guard your heart

David could have killed Saul, but he chose restraint over revenge.

III. When The Enemy Goes Low, the Elect Shows HIGHER CONFIDENCE

A. Confidence That God Sees

*God sees the attackers
*God sees the affliction
*God sees the anguish

B. Confidence That God Shields

*Shields from destruction
*Shields from defeat
*Shields from disgrace

C. Confidence That God Settles

*God will settle the lies
*God will settle the losses
*God will settle the labor

Moses stood still while God fought for Israel. If we stand still God will fight our battles as well.

When the enemy goes:

*Low in hatred
*Low in hypocrisy
*Low in hostility

The elect must go:

*High in holiness
*High in humility
*High in honor

You cannot:

•Fight darkness with darkness
•Beat hate with hate
•Correct carnality with carnality

The church must remember:

- We are too anointed to act ugly.
- Too chosen to become carnal.
- Too blessed to become bitter.

Like Nehemiah:

“I cannot come down.”

Because when the enemy goes low, the elect goes high. Let the enemy go low that is the job of the enemy; but when they go low we must remain high and lifted up in the Lord!

Let's continue to pray for our sick and shut in members and friends; especially our super seniors.

Mother's Day is this Sunday May 10th. BCC is asking all women to wear hats to worship as a sort of blast from the past as we remember mama in a happy way!

BCC Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., each Sunday morning with Morning Worship following at 9:30 a.m. We also broadcast live each Sunday Morning on Facebook.

Thank each and everyone for your support of this ministry.
