To every heart honoring a mother in heaven this Mother’s Day…

May God meet you right in the quiet places where the memories live.
May He wrap your heart in a comfort so tender it feels like being held again.

May every sweet memory of your mother rise gently in your spirit… not to break you, but to remind you that love like hers does not disappear. It changes form, but it never fades.

May the Living Water of Christ satisfy the thirst in your soul where grief has tried to settle. May He pour into every empty place and remind you that you are still held, still seen, still deeply loved. John 4:14

May the Holy Spirit rain down on every heart missing their mother today; filling the room, the car, the kitchen, the silence with peace that doesn’t make sense but somehow holds you together anyway. Philippians 4:7

May the joy of the Lord become your strength when your own strength feels far away. May laughter find its way back to you in time, even if today it only shows up as a small breath between tears. Nehemiah 8:10

May you be blessed by the Comforter who never leaves your side. May you know El Roi - the God who sees you, who has not overlooked your tears, your memories, or your missing. Genesis 16:13

And may you trust, even in this, that all things are still being woven together for your good. Romans 8:28

Last Week, Black Maternal Health Week 26’ reminded me why my story matters.

It started with sharing my own birth experience on Louisiana First News. The moment that eventually led me to become a doula.

Then I joined other advocates at Black Maternal Health Advocacy Day at the Capitol, pushing for change that protects mothers and babies.

And I closed the week pouring into pregnant mamas at the YWCA, sharing the importance of community support during pregnancy & postpartum by way of the flamingos’ story.

Sharing. Advocacy. Education.
This is the work. 🤎🖤🤍

Today we celebrate our Lord and Savior’s resurrection. The victory over death and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

This moment gives us authority and access! Authority In the earth and Access to heaven.

Happy Holy Week - Thursday!

Tonight we remember the final meal that Jesus Christ shared with His disciples before the cross. During this meal, He broke bread, shared the cup, and revealed that His body would be broken and His blood poured out for the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus did something unexpected, He knelt down and washed His disciples’ feet.

The King of Kings chose the position of a servant.

Even knowing that betrayal, denial, and suffering were ahead… Jesus showed His disciples what love truly looks like. Then He gave them a command that still guides us today; to love one another as He has loved us.

Following Jesus is not about status or recognition. It’s about living a life of sacrificial love.
